The Human Capital Consultant is responsible for working with the Optum Care and Monarch Health leaders, and employees to provide strategic and tactical consulting on people programs, organization development and other HR - specific or business initiatives. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Gathering, reporting  and analyzing people - related metrics, trends and root causes to help develop solutions that balance potential  risks with business needs
  • Provide human capital core process assistance to business leaders to help drive consistency, a high performance culture and enhanced engagement
  • Acting as a liaison for the brokerage of services between client groups and our internal partners: talent acquisition and development, compensation, reporting, employee relations, etc.
  • Working with the Human Capital team in developing and implementing corporate / core HC programs and processes, as well as working with business partners on key initiatives
  • Taking  a lead role in the administration, research, reporting,  and data  analysis of all Human Capital initiatives
  • Supporting new acquisition on - boarding and collaboration activities
  • Lead assigned human capital projects in the areas of retention, engagement, compensation, talent management and organizational design
  • Partner with HR Direct to consult and advise managers and employees on all aspects of employee - related issues
  • Maintain a close partnership with Talent Acquisition team to promote the experience of “one team” for clinicians and non - clinician  job applicants
  • Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and the ability to provide advice on corporate programs including compensation, performance reviews, benefits, etc.
  • Develop and work on special and cross - functional projects as needed
  • Act as a trusted advisor to all level of employees to enhance their job performance, cultural fit and alignment with the Values.
  • Gather and interpret data and provide executive summaries on employment trends

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or demonstrated equivalency (e.g., certifications)
  • 5+ years Human Resources generalist experience with expertise in all Human Resources functional areas with a strong emphasis in organization development / effectiveness and leadership development
  • Strong competence in data analysis, interpretation and presentation of data and trends
  • Agile thought leadership, comfortable with ambiguity, with the ability and confidence to drive business decisions
  •  Experience working in a Human Resources function with a shared service delivery and strategic business partner model
  • Demonstrated history of quickly gaining credibility and partnering with business leaders
  • Experience and comfort in working in a matrix environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or demonstrated equivalency (e.g., certifications)
