Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The eCommerce Associate will be focused on supporting customer catalogs and customer order exceptions through a variety of electronic portal partners and EDI connections.   The Ecommerce Associate will be part of the Ecommerce organization and will be the subject matter expert for Customers’:

  • Product Offering
  • Prices
  • Portal or EDI configuration set up, such as Master Invoicing, No Backorders, etc.
  • Order and invoice exceptions

The eCommerce Associate must be comfortable communicating issues across multiple teams such as IT, Sales, Customer Service, Credit, etc.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Business Analyst:

  • Create, publish and update hosted catalogs for portals
  • Perform pricing and product updates on a regularly scheduled basis, updating impacted stakeholders such as sales and ecommerce management
  • Publish and update hosted product catalogs and pricing
  • Manage end user and sales expectations related to implementation timelines
  • Onboard new customers to our Ecommerce platforms
  • Confirm catalog offerings appear as expected on the punch-outs or portals
  • Work with the product group to set product offering and verify setup
  • Work with sales and support teams to set pricing models
  • With limited to no guidance, monitor transactional data for exceptions and resolve/escalate as necessary
  • With limited to no guidance, assist customer support teams with product, pricing, unit of measure, and other issues
  • Possess strong analytical skills for research, determining root-cause and problem resolution
  • Understand database structures and how they relate to the e-procurement platforms and pricing file
NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology
1. No direct responsibility for supervising others.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred or comparable work experience
  • Proficiency with Excel and SQL required
  • 2+ years of experience as a business analyst
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, customer relationship or sales experience a plus
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2+ years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
