Position Description:

Position Purpose

Performs full administrative duties and provides general HR support to leadership and associates in a Distribution Center.   Assist with New Hire Orientation/On Boarding, Benefits, Training, HRIS transactions and record retention; may perform project work as necessary.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Assist line mgt. with HRIS program related training and transaction support.
  • Plan and coordinate associate activities and events.
  • Provide guidance and support with corporate policies, Benefits, Paid Time off, LOA and Worker Comp issues.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining official documents and records in appropriate files to ensure organization of materials.
  • Assist in the communication and enrollment process of employee benefits programs.
  • Partner with General Manager and RHRM in all Associate Relation issues.

Nature and Scope

Typically reports to General Manager or Human Resources Manager. No direct responsibility for supervising others.
No direct reports.
Typically has frequent contacts outside the workgroup.
Typically assignments follow existing routines or instructions.
Typically considers among a few options and past practice when solving problems.
Typically, guidance is always available and prior permission is required before changing work methods.

Environmental Job Requirements

Located in a comfortable indoor area.  Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy and/or may be involved in some mildly difficult situations.

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Physical Job Requirements

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Examples include executive assistant, bank loan officer, and acctg clerk.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in assisting Associates with basic HR related support.   Experience with record retention and Data management.  Experience in planning and coordinating associate events and activities. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES – Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Programs Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.  Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task Knowledge employee benefits and LOA administration.  Skilled at conflict resolution.
