Manage and oversee third-party service providers for Interline Brands private fleet of vehicles. This position is a liaison between field managers and drivers and the service provider to ensure maximum uptime. The Fleet Support Technician works with maintenance providers to ensure maximum recovery of warranty reimbursement, works to coordinate rentals to minimize disruption to the daily operation, works to specify truck equipment, manages the fleet asset list, and other various day-to-day operational support for the entire fleet of leased and owned vehicles. This person will develop and administer Preventative Maintenance practices throughout the Interline network and will manage licensing and registration as well as the toll program.

Reports to the Director of Fleet. Has no direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years
Most all of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
Experience in vehicle maintenance primarily with diesel engines
Familiarity with Department of Transportation regulations
Ability to research warranties and execute warranty claims with manufacturers
Computer skills, specifically in MS Excel and MS Access
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Familiarity with International Registration Plan (IRP) and IFTA fuel tax reporting
Flexibility to deal with and manage a variety of issues on a daily basis
Ability to travel up to 15%
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Document/develop maintenance procedures consistent with OEMs recommendations for various equipment in Interlines fleet.
Work with the Operations Centers to reduce vehicle down-time.
Develop relationships with vendors to ensure that Interline is maximizing its warranty benefits and reducing repair costs.
Assist local Operations Managers with identifying and dealing with repair vendors in their areas.
Intercede for local Operations Managers in dealing with repair issues when assistance is requested.
Administer IRP/IFTA compliance as needed throughout Interline.
Become and remain current on efforts to improve operating and fuel efficiencies within the vehicle and material handling industries.
Provide reports as necessary to improve and sustain Interlines fleet readiness and efficiencies.
