The Showroom Specialist (SRS) is a vital team member within the Barnett PRO Center division. The SRS is a Professional Sales position within our PRO Center structure that leads to Outside Sales and Branch Management opportunities! Working as the SRS changes every day. In this position you will sell and interact with customers on a daily basis in a branch showroom environment. You will also serve as the key link between those customers and the Branch Sales Manager.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Must contribute to Sales Growth for your Pro Center
o Effective and Efficient Counter Sales
o Active Daily Tele-Sales Calls and Prospecting via phone
o Product Demonstrations
o Exceptional Customer Service
o Takes advantage of opportunities to up sell and cross sell
Maintains Open Line of Communication
o Communicates effectively and professionally with customers
o Constant communication with BSM
o Professional communication with corporate personnel and management
o Recognizes and communicates market conditions
o Accurately receives daily replenishment and branch transfers to maintain inventory accuracy
o Conducts Cycle Counts on daily basis
o Constantly monitors and adjusts Min/Max inventory levels to assure proper inventory selection
Must be familiar with Barnett product lines and Systems
o Ability to sell multiple lines of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and MRO products
o Understands Barnett catalog and website
o Functional on both Bridge and RS6000 Systems
o Understands computer, phone and fax functions
Must Take Ownership of Pro Center Showroom
o Keeps showroom and warehouse clean and professional
o Applies creativity to displays and layout
o Actively sells to customers in the showroom
NATURE AND SCOPE
Reports to Branch Sales Manager.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 years
Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
BA or BS Degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Counter Sales experience, preferably in the HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or MRO Markets
Warehouse and/or Operations Experience
Exceptional Interpersonal Skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Multi tasked oriented and able to handle deadlines within a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively manage Time and Branch Operations
