Positions in this function are predominantly involved in developing business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. Primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value. Employees in jobs labeled with SCA must support a government Service Contract Act (SCA) agreement.
 
As an iCES Rule Developer, the successful candidate will assist in the iCES Clearinghouse Rules Creation development process.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Build and implement simple to complex claim editing logic in support of internal payment policies.
  • Act as a thought leader / SME in the design and implementation of claim editing logic by: being able to identify gaps in logic or business requests, being able to work speak with authority on current claim editing logic, and being able to develop architecturally sound editing rules for complex business requests.
  • Documenting of customer business processes, workflows and requirements as they relate to the issues identified by a development initiative.
  • Define and document business and system processes as determined by UHC.
  • Define, document, and communicate system requirements, as related to iCES Clearinghouse custom rule development for UHC.
  • Prioritize and manage business requirements in an effort to minimize scope issues.
  • Assure appropriate unit testing coverage.
  • Review and contribute to overall QC / QA of test plans.
  • Participate in project teams with the customer(s) to assure high quality through management of ongoing processes.
  • Assist in troubleshooting of technical issues as identified.
  • Reviews the work of others.
  • Develops innovative approaches.
  • Sought out as expert.
  • Serves as a leader / mentor.
