Immuno-oncology is an exciting and dynamic area and a key priority for the Pfizer Oncology organization. The **Immuno-Oncology Launch Planning and Portfolio Operations** role has the ability to contribute to the success of critical near-term Pfizer IO portfolio launches to help make a significant difference in patient's lives. The role simultaneously provides exposure to early portfolio commercial development.

The role will be responsible for leading plans for the upcoming launches of BAVENCIO(avelumab), a PD-L1 blocking antibody being co-developed and co-commercialized in a strategic alliance with Merck KGaA. Avelumab has been approved in two indications and is being studied in a broad range of tumor types with more than 10 launches anticipated by 2023.

This individual will also be responsible for driving operational integration across the broader Pfizer IO portfolio by coordinating Avelumab planning with that for other earlier-stage Pfizer IO pipeline assets. This role will support the Pfizer IO Portfolio Leader to drive cross-team integration and efficiency in the Business Planning process as well as in ongoing leadership communications, reporting, and meeting planning.

This individual will work with a broad range of cross-functional partners (both within Pfizer and across the Alliance).


Responsible for project management of multiple Avelumab launches and Immuno-Oncology (IO) Portfolio Operations support.

**Support Avelumab Launch Management:**

+ Develop launch operations process to leverage across indications. Disciplined process should drive efficiencies and amortize learnings from earlier indications to drive success in future launches.

+ Develop content for and facilitate bi-weekly launch meetings across the Pfizer-Merck KGaA Alliance.

+ Work closely with Commercial Tumor Leads at Pfizer and Merck to prepare for all aspects of launch and communicate progress to management.

+ Track and manage key launch milestones at global and regional level

+ Ensure key milestones are being achieved

+ Raise key risk areas and develop plans to mitigate

+ Develop reporting and track launch metrics. Drive Alliance alignment in appropriate measures by stakeholder audience.

+ Map key deliverables and develop RACI. Gain buy-in on plan and hold Alliance team members and cross-functional partners accountable.

+ Support Competitive Intelligence Reporting Process (in collaboration with SAI and Alliance Competitive Intelligence team) and Pfizer Monthly IO Fact Book Updates for Oncology Leadership.

+ Capture best practices, identify relevant practices that can be applied more broadly for Avelumab or IO assets, and share across tumor teams.

+ Manage budget for Avelumab on an ongoing basis.

**Support IO Portfolio Operations:**

+ Support Immuno-Oncology Global Marketing and Commercial Development (IO GM&CD) Lead to drive effective operations of the IO early portfolio and Avelumab Alliance - Responsibilities would include:

+ Assist with management reporting for IO portfolio (Alliance Dashboard Report, Bavencio Executive Report), Pfizer Earnings Q&A, Board Reports and External and Internal Communications.

+ Support Operating Plan process for IO Portfolio and Avelumab Alliance (including lifecycle planning).

+ Develop Pfizer IO Portfolio Leadership team meeting agendas, meeting minutes and follow-ups.

+ Manage Pfizer IO team calendar and provide relevant input for Alliance team calendar.

+ Support Avelumab Alliance Management Lead in managing Alliance subcommittees, planning meetings, and reporting (eg. meeting minutes).

+ Support Avelumab Alliance Management in Alliance Objective and Health Action Plan pull-through including quarterly tracking of progress against objectives.


+ 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing required

+ Previous in-line marketing experience (including launch or early lifecycle products) preferred

+ Track record of synthesizing complex information and distilling critical customer insights

+ Ability to translate strategy and analysis to a tactical, executable level to drive brand performance

+ Strong project management skills, including ability to work independently, lead multiple projects simultaneously and manage against a work plan

+ Strong team player with demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate with experts from a wide range of cross-functional areas

+ Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management

+ High-energy, proactive self-starter who has the initiative to function autonomously and the confidence and ingenuity to initiate, create and innovate to achieve key brand objectives
