Summary

Manages projects by planning, organizing, controlling, and deploying key milestones, deliverables and resources according to client goals, both internal and external. Project individuals are skilled to use specific templates and techniques to manage through the preferred project life-cycle. Manages and coaches HCM IC's and has an understanding of how to motivate and coach in order to solicit results. External and Internal Client Management: Engages with delivery team and clients, client team management, and client executives to help set project expectations, work escalated issues, or work through project scope or plan changes that require management intervention.

Core

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the delivery of multiple concurrent work requests on the implementation project(s). Balance project team work load assignments with expected delivery dates, project complexity, etc.
  • Project Scheduling & Cost Control: oversees the project preparation and planning functions by developing project direction and conversion strategies-establishing project plan, communication expectations and assigning/scheduling project tasks to team in accordance with established contract.

Project Management:

  • Issue, Risk & Change Management: Manage project's scope, estimate of hours and accommodates changes. Serves as project escalation point for issues impacting project success that requires resolution-Leads inter-departmental coordination efforts required for specific project tasks.
  • Coordinates the transition of new clients from Sales to Implementation to Client Services or existing clients from Client Services to Implementation to Client Services' to account for Migrations and Project Services.
  • Administrative Functions: coordination of meetings, training sessions, updating project plan and communication of project status.
  • Keeps Management (Program Manager/Implementation Leader) informed of project status, risks and issues.

Client Management:

  • Manage client expectations and monitors client deliverables, resolve issues, and achieve project goals. Is able to effectively communicate project status and issue resolution with client executives, and is able to manage those relationships and situations.
  • Utilizes ADP project management tools in the development of project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling based on the uniqueness of the client and project.
  • Works with the Client's and Service Leaders to validate Client Business Issues and detailed client requirements
  • have been addressed in the implementation and the client has successfully transitioned to ongoing service.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for Clients.
  • Conducts regular project reviews with HCM Implementation Consultants to inspect standard work adherence,
  • client satisfaction and overall project health.
  • Manages client expectations and monitors client Human Capital Management (HCM) goals to ensure the ADP team delivers a quality solution.
  • Works as a business partner with client to resolve issues and achieve HCM goals. Acts as focal point for clients to discuss changes, handle client escalations, and manages strategic changes in business solutions.
  • Responsible for having conversations on subpar IC Performance. Ensures that poor performance or issues are
  • captured in performance reviews and constructive feedback is provided to associates.
  • Provides recognition for outstanding performance and behaviors that support ADP Values.




QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • At least two years of project management experience
  • Must be able to sit in the ADP Tempe office

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • HCM experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Vantage experience and / or related company products is preferred
  • PMP or equivalent professional project management certification
  • CPP, FPC, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, and SPHR.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
  • Experience with project management tools and structured methodologies
  • Prior experience in applications and/or implementation work or methodology
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills for handling multiple and conflicting activities
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Visio
  • Commitment to being accountable for results
  • Capacity for building relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong focus on client service
  • Ability to think independently and make decisions
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative approach to work
