Prudential's Group Insurance Onboarding Team is seeking an Implementation Support Specialist who is accountable for implementation activities for Disability and Absence across Premier and National account segments.  This position is highly visible in the organization and the successful candidate is direct customer facing.  Responsibilities include
  • Implementation Support Specialist owns specific tasks relating to disability and absence deliverables.  For each account implementation project, the Implementation Support Specialist works closely with the assigned Implementation Manager and/or Account Management partners.
  • Participates in both customer and internal meetings, and schedules/facilitates meetings, as necessary, with both the customer and our internal subject matter experts to ensure that account set up details are understood so that our administrative processes and system(s) are established correctly to include but not limited to plan design details that affect eligibility, data exchange, contact center, claims processing and communications. 
  • Supports post implementation change activities as assigned. 
  • The Implementation Support Specialist identifies and manages timely and effective resolution of any issues that surface during the handling of all assigned duties and works with management, team members and internal partners to continually review, improve and update documentation on processes and procedures relating to the position roles and responsibilities. 
  • The Implementation Support Specialist provides consultative solutions, confirms Key Critical Data Elements and ensures Disability and/or Absence product details are understood by the customer.  
  • The Implementation Support Specialist serves as a subject matter expert for the Disability and Absence products. 
  • Maintains business awareness of all products, processes and system capabilities to enable effective communication of service capabilities.

Assists in the training of new employees within the Implementation Services unit. Supports the organization through participation in department, operational and strategic initiatives as needed

  • College degree or the equivalent combination of education and business-related experience
  • Experience and knowledge of Group Insurance products (Absence & Disability), required 
  • Prior group insurance industry experience and technical expertise specific to implementing Absence services a plus
  • Ability to consult and collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to problem solve
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and balancing competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and capable of interacting with all levels of Prudential associates
  • Ability to handle increasingly high volume of work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment in a calm manner
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions while considering client requirements and focusing on efficiency and cost effectiveness
    Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project)
  • Overnight domestic travel 5% with peaks in the summer/fall and occasional travel on short notice
  • Can translate daily activity into the long-term impact on Group Insurance’s Critical Priorities   
  • Practical assimilation of Prudential’s Leadership Competencies
