Description + Perform Dictionary Quality Management review of Pfizer standard Dictionaries such as MedDRA and WHODrug

+ Perform oversight of outsourced Dictionary activities to ensure quality and productivity are within established standards

+ Responsible for the overall maintenance and versioning of Pfizer standard Dictionaries

+ Responsible for support of resourcing strategies for Dictionary activities to align with overall business strategies

+ Single point of contact within Pfizer for vendor dictionary content, licensing and maintenance driving data strategies on behalf of Pfizer

+ Function as Dictionary Subject Matter Expert to provide guidance for all Dictionary related issues and strategies

+ Ensure that Dictionary activities comply with relevant global regulatory requirements & relevant SOPs

+ Consistently meet/exceed customer services standards by ensuring prompt & accurate completion of all requests by customers

+ Develop and maintain coding conventions for Pfizer standard dictionaries to ensure consistent data reporting

+ Responsible for all creation and maintenance of documentation including userguides, requirements documentation, test scripts, etc.

+ Responsible for creation and maintenance and delivery of training

+ Provide support to activities delivering implementation or integration of dictionary or data management systems using industry standard methodologies

+ Manage data integration activities and strategies such as dictionary data mapping and eSource

+ Support implementation of future clinical trial strategies such eSource

+ Develop and Implement processes, metrics & other measures to create, support and drive business activities

+ Draw on knowledge of existing solutions and interrelationships to provide subject matter expertise on the business area and enterprise-wide projects as required.

+ Determine procedural and technical system needs, and then develop approach to meeting those needs with client groups and Business Technology.

+ Coordinate and oversee vendors across various needs (e.g., Tier 1 support services, user access, centralized coding, etc)



Prior Education



+ A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a health science (Nursing, Pharmacy) or other allied health field is required.



Prior Experience (Preferred):



+ At least 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry or in a health information management role

+ Thorough understanding of CRO partner, Pfizer and GCP standards

+ Demonstrated knowledge of clinical research processes and regulatory requirements.

+ Demonstrated success/results in prior scientific/administrative management roles

+ Knowledge of organizational development principles and demonstrated success in developing and implementing organizational development strategies

+ Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional processes required

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills in relating to colleagues and associates both inside and outside the organization.



• Technical Skill Requirements:



+ Demonstrated knowledge and success in managing customer support function in a clinical environment

+ Solid experience in medical and drug clinical or medical record coding and dictionary management

+ Solid experience in clinical trials or medical record/health information management

+ Solid experience implementing and managing dictionary systems and interfaces

+ Functional experience in standard business technology and dictionary related tools such as Oracle Thesaurus Management System (TMS) or electronic health records

+ Demonstrated experience of dictionary business project management

+ Demonstrated experience supporting strategic dictionary implementations within a matrix organization

+ Demonstrated experience interfacing with and influencing external dictionary publishers

+ Ability to evaluate data and initiate change processes as necessary for efficient use of personnel and resources

+ Demonstrated experience on complex projects and processes

+ Demonstrated knowledge of clinical development and regulatory submission processes and requirements or health information management/electronic health records

+ Demonstrated platform skills; experience presenting to large scientific audiences and non-science populations

+ Understand customers and stakeholders and adapt messages appropriately

+ Proven ability to communicate difficult messages to various levels within the organization.

+ Ability to make complex decisions that require choosing between multiple options

+ Ability to organize tasks, time and priorities of self and others; ability to multi-task
