The DMS – BDC Operations Specialist will handle inbound calls/inquiries from existing automotive DMS clients.  The successful candidate will work in a channel team environment with the BDC Sales Specialists to provide solid sales support to our existing DMS clients at the franchise and strategic dealership level. Additional responsibilities include maximizing sales revenue through “upselling” existing and new clients with additional products.  All sales and support to dealerships are performed over the phone.
Conduct computer system hardware discoveries for new DMS installs to: (50%)
  • Identify existing hardware systems, required hardware for DMS systems
  • Develop hardware proposal/recommendation specific to the dealership needs
  • Present, sell, negotiate and close deal
  • Coordinate post close execution to ensure hardware delivery arrives for DMS install
  • Sell additional products to existing independent and franchise dealership accounts in an assigned territory (30%)
  • Discuss, present, and demonstrate key advantages of additional products - including, but not limited to:  Maintenance Mode, Buy-Here/Pay-Here and Digital Conversion all via an inside sales model
  • Proactively handle inbound calls to: (20%)
  • identify customer needs
  • Identify and craft appropriate solutions 
  • Create and negotiate contracts for solutions that meet customer needs
  • Align with internal resources to help price and deliver custom solutions
  • Have the ability to present, sell, negotiate and close deals from a remote environment
  • Meet monthly budget expectations consistently
  • Use the Challenger based selling approach to manage and successfully close complex sales opportunities.
  • Use insight and consultative selling techniques to provide feedback to clients on industry trends, strategies and challenges.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to build consensus for products within their organization.
  • Independently and collaboratively strategize for solving deal-level challenges.
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Phone warrior, with limited travel to company events


  • High School Diploma with 3-4 years of relevant sales experience including 2 years of inside sales or telemarketing background – software sales experience a plus.
  • Auto dealership experience a plus.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships over the phone is a must.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Must have above-average technical and computer skills, including utilizing the internet.
  • Limited travel may be required.
