Inside Sales / Market Development Representative

Cisco Jasper, a global Internet of Things (IoT) platform leader, is hiring an inside sales / market development representative who will play a critical role in our sales process – proactively driving demand, qualifying opportunities and advancing leads for our mobile enterprise product.

The right candidate will excel at cold calls, building and cultivating relationships, pitching the product and managing our pipeline. This role will report to the Head of Digital Marketing and Demand Gen, and will partner across the marketing and sales organization to ensure we meet our sales goals and company objectives. You will join innovators at the leading edge of the next wave in business transformation, the Internet of Things. Responsibilities

  • Research accounts online and identify the key players in the buy team
  • Source new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls and emails
  • Build and advance database of prospects
  • Team with sales and marketing partners to increase pipeline
  • Understand customer needs and requirements, relaying insights to sales and marketing
  • Develop high quality sales materials – presentations, call scripts etc. 
  • Perform effective online product pitches and demos to prospects
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Help close sales and achieve quarterly quotas

Skills and Experience:

  • 2 years’ experience in inside sales / market development
  • Experienced with LinkedIn, Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office
  • Experience selling business to business or SaaS platforms to enterprise IT teams
  • A track record of beating goals and quotas
  • Strong, confident phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Strong relationship building skills, able to convey offering, obtain commitments and conversion
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills
  • Self-starter, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
