The Meadows Psychiatric Centre is a 117-bed inpatient behavioral healthcare facility with numerous outpatient programs, which span the entire continuum of care. The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

The Intake Assessment Counselor is responsible for the triage and follow up of crisis telephone inquires and face to face assessments. The Counselors are professional, assertive and detail oriented with excellent communication skills, telephone/interview skills, knowledge of Mental Health Procedures Act, Child Abuse reporting, community resources, and other programs or services provided.

 
Requirements

The following are the job requirements for the position:

The Intake Assessment Counselor position requires Bachelors Degree in a Human Services field. One year Direct Mental Health Care experience required, two years preferred.   Primarily day shifts with rotating weekends but must be flexible as needed.  Full-time, benefit eligible.
