Description + Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) has embarked on an ambitious programme of Transformation as it seeks to continue to drive excellence in its operations and deliver world class performance

+ PGS is responsible for the global supply of all Pfizer's medicines from a network of over 60 manufacturing sites, 450 contract manufacturers and 130 logistic centres.

+ Core to PGS Transformation and the drive to excellence is the design and implementation of a global production system (Integrated Manufacturing Excellence - IMEx) across the network

+ IMEx looks to achieve world class performance in plant operations through design and installation of end to end, integrated and standardised operational standards, metrics and capabilities.

+ The role, as a member of a Design Team, is to lead the design and development of key components of IMEx to deliver a significant step change in the reduction of operational volatility to guide and enable world class operating performance

+ Utilisation of experience in designing, implementing and operating world class production systems, the incumbent will apply the principles, best in class practices and practical solutions for the development of the PGS application

+ Facilitation of workshop-based processes across multiple stakeholder groups and SME's to define an agreed "one best way" through evaluation of current practices, best practices from within and external to Pfizer

+ Ensure successful delivery of each IMEx ecosystem / design component as per plan and ensure integration between the various ecosystems and other Transformation activities



Responsibilities:



+ Utilizing experience of designing, implementing and operating world class production systems apply the principles, best in class practices and practical solutions for the development of the PGS application

+ Lead the design and development of key components of the Pfizer Production System (Integrated Manufacturing Excellence - IMEx) to deliver a significant step change in the reduction of operational volatility to guide and enable world class operating performance

+ Facilitation of workshop-based processes across multiple stakeholder groups and SME's to define an agreed "one best way" through evaluation of current practices, best practices from within and external to Pfizer

+ Design workcentre eco-systems / components that apply this one best way to address root causes of variability and volatility in an integrated way and holostically deliver a capable operating system

+ Develop standards, implementation guides / playbooks and codified implementable solutions

+ Gain approval with key stakeholders for design and develop plans for piloting

+ Ensure strong pilot and refinement processes deliver a robust globally implementable approach

+ Ensure successful delivery of each IMEx ecosystem / design component as per plan and ensure integration between the various ecosystems and other Transformation activities

+ Partner with other members of Network Excellence, site and above- site colleagues to drive production system best practices and external benchmarking examples to maximize business impact



Qualifications:



+ Bachelor or BS degree in a Technical or Business field with 10+ years of relevant experience

+ Master degree in business administration or technical discipline a plus

+ Experience with design / installation and operation of production systems in a manufacturing environment

+ Ideally having an worked in pharmaceutical manufacturing or an understanding of pharmaceutical industry, operational requirements and key success factors for business performance

+ Good understanding of process excellence and performance improvement tools, techniques and concepts

+ Intellectual strength and flexibility to understand complex problems and rationalise these into workable solutions which can be delivered

+ Evidence of innovation, problem-solving and structured thinking skills

+ Execution-focused, fully capable of supporting processes from strategy to implementation

+ Strong presentation and facilitation skills with an ability to succinctly and creatively present robust and evidence-based messages

+ Strong interest and commitment to developing and delivering leading edge solutions and a passion for excellence

+ Excellent communication skills to enable interactions at various levels and influence broad spectrum of PGS leaders and colleagues

+ Experience in successfully executing projects with small to medium size teams

+ Demonstrated track record of leading and influencing organisations and/or teams

+ Proven experience in programme management with a knowledge of best practice tools and methodologies.

+ Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

+ Experience with SAP systems strongly preferred

+ Fluency in English required, proficiency in a second language a plus (e.g., Spanish, French, German , Italian)
