Description:

Prudential International Insurance (PII) continues to be one of Prudential's fastest growing and most profitable business groups.  With operations in eleven countries around the world (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, India, China, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, and Italy), the Integrated Marketing Director will play a key role in developing and systematically expanding PII’s customer focus. Prudential International Insurance (PII) has made customer focus and engagement a key priority of the organization.

In collaboration with our country and regional operations, the Director will support local country operations in the identification, development and implementation of successful integrated marketing strategies and capabilities that improve the sales, profitability, and key drivers of our individual businesses. The go to market strategies and implementation plans to be led by the Director will be driven by customer insight and will be grounded in data. This role guides local country operations in conducting customer, market, and competitor research to understand customer/prospect needs and to identify profitable market opportunities to grow our business. The strategy for each country will define the customer segment(s), distribution, marketing, product and digital components to achieve success and the marketing and organizational capabilities to support the strategy. This position will work with country operations to develop and execute their implementation plans. They will leverage and coordinate integrated, cross functional support from home office and regional subject matter experts in the areas of market research, product, data analytics, customer experience, distribution development and brand & communications, to support the development and implementation of the strategy.

The Director will document best practices and create an implementation guide, including best practices, templates, capability requirements, capability assessments and the development of road maps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with and support the development of integrated Go to Markets strategies and execution plans for local country operations that are aligned to drive business results.

  • Leverage and coordinate integrated, cross functional support from home office and regional subject matter experts in the areas of market research, product, data analytics, customer experience, distribution development and branding/communications, to support the development and implementation of the strategies.

  • Support the creation and implementation of the complete range of Go To Market capabilities.

  • Be responsible for the development of new best practice Go to Market strategies for individual markets, consumer segments and distribution channels.

  • Develop a replicable process for the development of Go to Market strategies and implementation planning.

  • Ensure deep customer insight is at the center of all marketing plans.

  • Ensure an “end-to-end” mindset and connectivity across all marketing actions.

  • This individual will be accountable for contributing to scalable, high impact solutions that create differentiation in the market place.

 


  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience and demonstrated ability to build out marketing and business strategies with specific outcomes and impact on sales, engagement, loyalty, retention and profitable growth

  • Prior experience managing B2B2C and/or B2C marketing programs

  • Experience in the life insurance industry with agents and alternative (non-captive) distribution (independent, banc, direct, affinity, etc.) preferred

  • Strong business acumen and a functional knowledge of financial services, including market expectations, products, services and distribution channels.

  • Proven cross-functional leadership experience, with proven results driven both directly and through partners

  • Experience with digital marketing, social media and digital customer engagement

  • Strategic mindset and ability to communicate a strategic vision; can anticipate issues and challenges and develop approaches to mitigate

  • Experience working with market research and data analytics and utilizing insights to develop new business opportunities

  • Strong ability to build relationships and influence others; able to partner and interact effectively with senior leaders and managers across different cultures

  • Clear and concise communication and presentation skills; synthesize complex topics in a compelling and visual manner

  • Excellent project management ability

  • Experience leading international projects and teams desired

  • Experience with external agencies

  • Strong advocate of teamwork, performance excellence and continuous improvement.

  • International experience and language abilities an advantage

  • Ability to travel internationally 20-25% (one to two weeks at a time)
