Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
Interline Brands, Inc. (“Interline”) is among the nation s largest distributors and direct marketers of specialty maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) products, both branded and private label. In 2015, Interline was acquired by The Home Depot®.
It stocks more than 100,000 plumbing, janitorial, electrical, hardware, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); and other MRO products, from more than 3000 suppliers worldwide. Products and value-added services are sold to more than 175,000 active customers, including facilities maintenance customers, professional contractors, and specialty distributors.
Key end-markets include multifamily housing; health care institutions; educational organizations; lodging; plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC contractors; locksmiths and hardware stores. The company operates more than 70 distribution centers / branches and four regional replenishment centers across the United States, which facilitates reliable same-day or next-day delivery service to 98% of the U.S. population.
Interline employs a multi-dimensional sales model to drive market share gains, utilizing the following primary channels: field sales representatives, telesales and direct marketing including online websites, catalogs, business-to-business selling portals, and fliers. With a unified operating platform, the company can sell the same product to various customers utilizing different pricing schedules and different service models, depending on the needs of each customer.
Interline Brands is seeking a candidate to join the Transportation team and be a key contributor around inventory integrity. The Assistant Inventory Associate OS&D will be responsible for day-to-day management of receiving discrepancies, late purchase order management, and customer backorder management. This position will require close coordination with Inventory Control, Product Management, Operations, Logistics and Vendors.
This position is based out of our Jacksonville, FL location.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
35%- Manage all receiving discrepancies, working with internal departments and external sources to resolve and reconcile.
20%- Track and manage all late purchase orders, working with vendors, IBI logistics, external transportation departments and operations to ensure timely receipt.
1%- Drive associate engagement through recognition and reward programs, HR communications, and town hall meetings
1%- Evaluate all customer back-orders, working with Inventory Analyst to expedite product and working with sales to resolve items that are unavailable.
23%- Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Operations and Vendors to ensure optimum service to our customers.
20%- Investigate and Monitor all Inbound Receipts for accuracy and Vendor Compliance to ensure that POD is properly signed, and an Interline Distribution Center has proper recourse to pursue a claim.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Reports to Vendor Compliance Manager. Has no direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years
Physical Requirements:
Most all of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
Additional Qualifications:
Possess a solid understanding of supply chain concepts and systems
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Must own and complete tasks start to finish
Self-starter, ability to work with very little supervision
Ability to successfully manage large and complex data
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Preferred Qualifications:
Undergraduate college degree preferred
2-5 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, purchasing
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Excellent follow up skills.
