Pfizer's Global Financial Solutions (GFS) Shared Services is a well-established operation with beginnings in Memphis, Tenn., in 1997. The organization expanded to Europe in 2003, Asia in 2007, Latin America in 2013, and Eastern Europe in 2014. GFS Shared Services has a workforce of more than 1200 Pfizer colleagues, in addition to a successful partnership with a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner, Genpact, in three locations globally.

The GFS Shared Services Center (SSC) for the Latin America Region (LATAM) is a high performing team responsible for the timely delivery of standardized financial processes on behalf of Biopharmaceuticals and PGS Finance and their business partners for the Emerging Markets. The group performs certain r\\Record-to-Report, Invoice-to-Pay, Travel & Entertainment, Credit-to-Cash, Treasury, Mark-up, and other related activities from regionally centralized locations in San Jose, Costa Rica.

This position will have responsibility for leading a small/medium size team who supports the markets for inventory accounting, by including finished goods as well as the intercompany product movement and related markup for the respective divisions within these markets. This role is to lead and enable the Record to Report GFS San Jose team to partner with the Biopharmaceuticals and PGS Finance organizations in LATAM, EUR, NAM, AFME as well as other areas of GFS to ensure that business objectives are sufficiently metLeadership and Management of the LATAM GFS SSC Inventory function, responsible for operational performance and providing strategic guidance and direction to the function

+ Collaborate with PGS, WBB, Consolidations, GMX Team, Logistics and Corporate Tax on strategic inventory projects and process improvements.

+ Supervise daily activities surrounding intercompany product transactions and assist with the resolution of intercompany product differences

+ Supervise month end inventory financial close activities for US, Puerto Rico, and Canada markets

+ Supervise quarterly and year end reporting for US, Puerto Rico, and Canada markets

+ Lead efforts related to inventory system changes and/or implementations

+ Ensure processing efficiencies utilizing innovative technical and processing solutions

+ Ensure inventory process changes are in compliance with Pfizer accounting / internal control policies and SOX, including related document maintenance

+ Serve as liaison with internal and external audit regarding inventory audit management and remediation of any control deficiencies

+ Develop and assist in automating Inventory Accounting processes and analysis techniques

+ Work independently with other departments / international locations to research, analyze and resolve inventory irregularities and discrepancies

+ Maintain and develop relationships with groups serviced by GFS-Americas as well as within GFS

+ Provide guidance and support to the divisions and Consolidations on inventory matters related to acquisitions or divestitures

+ Must be able to create a highly energized environment of exceptional performance, shared accountability and personnel excellence, with a commitment to coaching and developing others into leadership roles. Must possess excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills. Ability to provide a strategic and business perspective including putting the needs of GFS, Finance and the Business Units in context of the larger Pfizer organization. Excellent business acumen to develop effective strategic business partnership with key stakeholders.

+ Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills. Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles.

+ Demonstrated success in setting and meeting personal and organizational goals, including motivating organization to obtain goals.

+ Must be able to quickly effect change and improvements across GFS SSC- San Jose, multiple Business Units and sites by visualizing, leading design and execution of business practices and processes to bring standardization and minimize complexities.
