Description

The Inventory and Yield Specialist manages the advertising inventory on Cox Automotive Media Properties and is responsible for contract and data integrity. The Inventory and Yield Specialist is the front end of Advertising Operations, facilitating, monitoring and setting expectations for a smooth fulfillment process.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions: 
  • Create, manage and update inventory spreadsheets to reflect forecast, held, sold and available inventory.  Includes proactive follow-up on/release of holds to maximize revenue.
  • Work closely with Sales/Sales Support, Product and other Ad Operations teams regarding inventory availability, proposal and contract details, ad creation, ad delivery, troubleshooting and billing
  • Ensure that product rules are followed and exceptions are approved before placements are offered or sold
  • Ensure data accuracy within advertising systems.  Direct contact with resellers, partners and customers for advertising availability and purchases
  • Responsible for IO review, entry and approvals; ensuring accuracy and adherence to order entry guidelines and best practices
  • Work with Legal team as necessary regarding non-approved terms and integration into existing systems
  • Responsible for new contracts, revisions, and cancellations.  Work to understand and integrate Sales requests into existing standardized offerings, ensuring that placements are entered into Operative.One according to established guidelines
  • Manage unsold inventory allocation
  • Interact directly with new and existing customers, using judgment and discretion on how to best resolve issues, with little supervision
  • Support client and Sales team needs by building simple and complex Behavioral Targeting segments across multiple Data Management Platforms
  • Must be able to read and understand simple and complex logical behavioral targeting expressions in order to accurately target desired audience segment(s)
  • Assist with fulfillment of audience targeting buys, including creating custom audience segments, managing inventory, and collecting creative
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Cox Automotive advertising products, applications, product suites, customers, and reporting capabilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Excel Formulas (i.e., SUMIFS, IF, VLOOKUP, INDEX, etc.)
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to handle shifting work priorities on the fly based on a variety of variables and the needs of the organization while meeting fulfillment deadlines. Ability to complete fulfillment goals in a fast-paced environment where rush requests are common
  • High attention to detail. Ability to read tables
