The Investment Manager Performance Analyst will report to the Director, Investment Research.  The position will be located in the Roseland, NJ office.


The incumbent will be a member of the Investment Oversight Team which is focused on maintaining PBF's investment platform of registered and unregistered insurance separate account strategies.  PBF currently manages over $23 billion in COLI/BOLI/TOLI assets, split among approximately 50 strategies.  Asset classes include various high quality fixed income sub-classes and various equity strategies including domestic and international.


The analyst will be responsible for conducting on-going platform monitoring and oversight, including adherence to investment guidelines.  The analyst is expected to critically analyze different investment markets, manager investment styles and portfolio characteristics and evaluate their impact on investment performance and across the competitive asset management landscape.  The creation of accurate and detailed reports is required. The analyst will be responsible for fulfilling regulatory requirements with respect to registered fund offerings and various ad-hoc projects.


The candidate must have knowledge of or be comfortable with learning analytical software (eVestment) and demonstrate mathematical aptitude for establishing and interpreting investment analysis.

The position requires substantial, direct verbal and written communication with external investment managers.  Additionally, the position requires communication and collaboration with a variety of internal staff, including investment operations, marketing, legal and compliance.

The candidate must have the ability to manage time and prioritize activities in order to comply with strict deadlines while also handling additional projects and duties as they arise.  The candidate must maintain flexibility in managing activities and time.


Undergraduate degree with a focus in Finance, Economics or Math preferred

CFA preferred
Interest in financial markets and asset management

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is required

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to achieve goals

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Stable value wrap knowledge a plus

Willing and able to travel as needed
