Pfizer's Global Financial Solutions (GFS) Shared Services is a well-established operation with beginnings in Memphis, Tenn., in 1997. The organization expanded to Europe in 2003, Asia in 2007, Latin America in 2013, and Eastern Europe in 2014. GFS Shared Services has a workforce of more than 1200 Pfizer colleagues, in addition to a successful partnership with a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner, Genpact, in three locations globally.

The GFS Shared Services center located in Costa Rica will support all Latin America and North America I2P transactions as well as the Global ASL COE and the T&E Oversight activities.

The position will be responsible for supervising the team who support the North America market Invoice-to-Pay activities including T&E (Travel & Expense). This role supports senior leadership in the management of Invoice to Pay and Travel & Expense activities, invoice processing, Accounts Payable and T&E issue resolution, payments disbursements, T&E expense back office auditing, and reporting operations for the markets supported by the Latin America Regional (LATAM) GFS SSC. This position will be also responsible for supervising the global ASL assignments, the global Annual ASL Review and the T&E Oversight transactions analysis and follow up activities.

This position will be based in Costa Rica and will manage 20+ colleagues managing the I2P transactions. The role will report to the GFS Invoice to Pay Director in Costa Rica. This position will be responsible for the service levels, the compliance controls, and the operations process for I2P and T&E activities in North America and the Global ASL COE and T&E Oversight team.Leadership and Management of the LATAM GFS SSC Invoice to Pay (I2P) function, responsible for operational performance and providing strategic guidance and direction to the function

+ Full operational responsibility for the I2P & T&E function to ensure all deliverables are successfully achieved including operational performance, people management and development and adhering to compliance requirements together with supporting and implementing on transformation requirements

+ Establish, grow and lead the Invoice to Pay & T&E GFS-San Jose organization that supports North America and Global COEs.

+ Develop and translate the vision and strategy of I2P & T&E from a systems, process, policy and procedures perspective.

+ Review performance metric dashboards to ensure that resources across assigned teams are properly utilized and implement improvement initiatives accordingly.

+ Challenging the status quo and championing new ideas.

+ Promote the use of preferred procurement methods and work closely with Pfizer Global Sourcing group to identify areas of opportunity for savings

+ Designing and implementing ways to streamline and standardize operations, which includes creating metrics for success.

+ Act as a Business Partner to the Global GFS organization, market FD's and other business stakeholders. Playing a key role in the development of global financial processes and enhancing the capacity of the P2P & T&E groups.

+ Understanding the functionality, interfaces and interdependencies of Pfizer's financial processes and systems, and ensuring the existence of adequate internal controls.

+ Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and propose innovative solutions so the PI2P & T&E areas can operate in an efficient and cost effective manner and achieve targeted budget savings

+ Membership of the GFS SSC senior site leadership team with joint responsibility for managing site-wide operational requirements and leading strategic initiatives as necessary on the GFS LAR Site.

+ Oversee the implementation of complex projects/issues which require experience and significant I2P and T&E technical abilities. Work collaboratively with business units and others to execute approved projects. Manage integration or project efforts related to acquisitions & divestitures.

+ Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and SOX related internal control documentation

+ Manage relationship with outsourced provider this will involve acting as a key point of contact, holding regular review meetings, reviewing performance related information etc.

+ Support the Internal and External audits and SOX compliance initiatives

+ Strong accounting, interpersonal, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.

+ SAP & JDE experience an advantage

+ Fluency in English and Spanish Required and Portuguese Desired

Must possess strong leadership skills to lead and motivate teams. . Demonstrated project management skills, with experience in reengineering financial processes including implementation of financial systems and building and managing cross-functional teams is required. International experience in emerging markets highly desired.

Demonstrated effective leadership, negotiating, interpersonal and strategic planning skills necessary to interact, influence and facilitate change with senior management, GFS locations, division management and business unit partners.

Must be able to create a highly energized environment of exceptional performance, shared accountability and personnel excellence, with a commitment to coaching and developing others into leadership roles. Must possess excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills. Ability to provide a strategic and business perspective including putting the needs of GFS, Finance and the Business Units in context of the larger Pfizer organization. Excellent business acumen to develop effective strategic business partnership with key stakeholders.

Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills. Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles. Demonstrated success in setting and meeting personal and organizational goals, including motivating organization to obtain goals. Must be able to quickly effect change and improvements across GFS SSC- San Jose, multiple Business Units and sites by visualizing, leading design and execution of business practices and processes to bring standardization and minimize complexities.
