IOT Engagement Manager

What you’ll do:

As the IOT Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for engaging with our most high profile customers in professional services projects to augment our core IOT Software platform for customer specific feature requests. The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, Statements of Work, and product specifications for our development teams will be a critical part of the job.


You’ll also be responsible for coordinating internal resource management and scheduling, project and program management of the service fulfillment. In addition, you’ll guide Engineering in the design of features and management of the deployment through the release process.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Develop proposal for executive approval for all aspects of the Client Delivery programs (engagement model, pricing, resourcing, process flows, accounting)
  • Work closely with internal and external (client) stakeholders, SME’s and team members.
  • Secure pipeline of professional services engagements managing a well-structured intake process in a professional and efficient manner
  • Deliver all engagements on time and on budget
  • Ensure Professional Services developments maintain alignment with core service development principles
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in professional services best practices. Be trusted advisor among internal and external constituents (up to C level) based on program management, product and customer/operator knowledge

You’ll possess a consultative approach in building relationships with SMEs coupled with the Jasper engagement teams to develop a solution. You’ll also have the capacity to work closely with a variety of internal teams and end-customers to oversee design, development, integration, test, and quality assurance of new products and services 


Additional requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (or experience in lieu), MBA a bonus
  • 4+ years experience in professional services, solution consulting; product management a plus on top of pro-serve
  • Excellent client facing ,client management and escalation management skills required with proven ability to negotiate and motivate others
  • Capacity to operate in an environment of uncertainty 
  • Capacity to organize highly complex activities for the successful launch of projects 
  • Oversee all aspects of project implementation to deliver products and services on-time 
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels: from team members to executive management. Executive level presence and acumen in engaging internal and external leadership.
  • Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills, self-motivation, leadership, and team orientation;
  • Capacity to understand technology and relate to technology components. High Level of technical competence and understanding of web, cloud and SAAS offerings
  • Ability to understand a project's technical details (e.g. call flow, billing, provisioning, operations, etc.) and uncover and assess projects risks
  • Strong program management skills with capacity to simultaneously manage multiple critical engagements
  • Development experience preferred, OSS/BSS exposure helpful
  • Good understanding of all aspects of SDLC and delivery lifecycle 
  • Prior Telecommunications management experience desirable
  • Ability to work independently and within tight deadlines.
  • Strong solution/ product leadership skills.
  • Extensive experience partnering and motivating offshore development teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Experience with project financial management including: estimates, risk, margins, legal structures, such as penalties.
  • Must be effective in communicating with software and wireless Engineering, Operations, QA and Sales.
  • Must be self-guided, self-starter.
