Are you a subject matter expertise in project management, scope definition, risk identification, methodology or facilitation? You will be responsible for managing the deployments for various applications within ClinicalSystems Delivery applications. The role will providesubject matter expertise including release scope definition, risk identification, release methodology, facilitation, and deployment activities established in Clinical SystemsDelivery Release Management techniques and United Development Process Procedures. The IS Project /Release and Deployment manager will assist with strategic initiatives crossing business teams and operating groups You’ll investigate non-standard requests and problems, makes presentations to senior leadership, ensure project documentation is accurate while ensuring that releases and deployments projects are completed and released on time and within scope. Pertinent data and facts will be reviewed to identify and solve issues.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of releases across various functional areas
  • Ensure that the architecture and infrastructure on which the application will be deployed are robust and stable
  • Coordinate deployment planning meetings to document clear / concise steps including the following for each task: Approximate start and end time, Resource required to complete the task, Estimated task duration
  • •Ensure that a detailed deployment plan has been documented along with a blackout plan should anything go wrong during deployment
  • •Knowledge of HPSM for the purpose of change ticket creating and management
  • Create and distribute the pre-planned communications about the deployment to all stakeholders
  • •Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed
  • •Works with less structured, more complex issues
  • •Serves as a resource to others
  • •Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go / No-Go reviews
  • •Weekly Release Reporting to IT and business management
  • •Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
  • •Lead and coordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and pre-deployment readiness and checklists
  • •Maintains a release repository and manages key information including but not limited to release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
  • •Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • •Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • •Nights and weekends may be required
  • •Knowledge of agile development
  • •Escalate to management during the deployment as needed
  • •Coordinate with other applications for assignment of resources to support change
