Corona Regional Medical Center is a 238-bed hospital facility on two campuses, providing comprehensive healthcare services.  It is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, employs over 1100 trained healthcare workers, and has a Medical Staff of approximately 350 physicians representing over 40 specialties.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Information Systems this position is responsible for daily maintenance and installation of all PC`s, printers, modems and daily operations of terminals. This position is also responsible for cabling required for systems, report writing and support of internal networks. Responds to and resolves PC, printer, desktop and minor network problems via telephone and/or providing field support.

 

 Essential Job Duties:

Responsible for daily operation and maintenance of hospital PC's, and printers.

Overall knowledge of the basic day to day functions of the hospital systems.

Installation of new hardware including PC’s, printers, and related devices.

Ability to troubleshoot problems with hardware and software.

Overall knowledge regarding the wide area network and Information Systems infrastructure.

Ability to dial into computer and take on-call, for after hours support.

Responsible for proper maintenance and support of all pc related hardware and software.

Assists with special projects, as delegated.

Provides service by analyzing and resolving problems that are routed from the desktop phone support and/or by working the support center phone line.

Closes tickets upon problem resolution.

Ensures that whenever possible problems solved will not reoccur.

Follows support process and escalation procedures.

Informs customers of problem status including progress and/or delays.

Participates in selection of hardware and software and in developing standards.

Installs and tests software.

Fosters positive, interpersonal relationships and professional image by adhering to customer service standards with internal and external customers.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Extensive PC hardware/software knowledge.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

3 years Information Systems experience required.

Basic software application experience in MS Office products, and other related software.

Experience in printer hardware maintenance.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Education in Computer Science preferred.
