Description

Primary Responsibilities:


In this role, you will work collaboratively with infrastructure engineering and various clients to onboard, teach, and troubleshoot the delivery of various technologies. Mesos Engineering supports and maintains the Mesos platform for developers in relation to IaaS, PaaS, containers, configuration management, Big Data, and more. As a Mesos Engineer you will provide guidance, documentation, and coaching to our development community on techniques to best utilize our platforms.

The role you will play:

  • You will maintain an incredible environment that seamlessly interfaces with various components of infrastructure.
  • You'll support a solid, reliable and scalable engineering culture that drives continuous innovation and delivery.
  • You'll implement process changes to scale support efforts across multiple products.
  • Assist clients, diagnose issues, and report defects.
  • Support platform/infrastructure services and document all fixes and report all improvements needed.
  • Help the team support and maintain processes and tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues as per the SLA in our production environments.
  • Monitor and administer a large and growing production footprint with diverse application services.
  • Help performance tune and optimize distributed systems, operating systems, networks, and applications.
  • Monitor system, platforms and services to provide rapid feedback and high availability.
  • Learn and apply new technologies and frameworks.
  • Contribute to internal projects to help the team.
  • Communicate with project teams and clients.
  • Efficiently manage trouble tickets and work streams.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in both a highly collaborative environment as well as independently, without direct supervision
  • Learning new technologies and skills is a highly valued skill
  • Ability to rapidly evaluate technologies for suitability in our systems and share findings with the team
