Description:

The Prudential Global Business and Technology Solutions, Business Continuation and Disaster Recovery organization is seeking a full-time, self-motivated Specialist for IT Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuation (BC) with working knowledge of BC and DR terminology and resiliency processes. The position involves administration of software to track data used in recoveries and to document business and system recovery plans in support of the firms Enterprise BC Standards. The successful candidate will provide BC/DR support/coordination; testing and compliance activities for key technology operational business processes.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required
  • Possess general technology knowledge (distributed, desktop and network technologies)
  • Understand the concepts of business continuation and disaster recovery. Hands on experience desired
  • Reporting and tracking experience with the ability to track, monitor and report on BC/DR tests and results
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with an ability to perform data analysis and produce professional presentations/reports for business continuation and technology resources across the firm
  • Knowledge of vendor due diligence process
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, Alfabet, Archer BC System and Archer reporting a plus
  • Organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner, with attention to details
  • Ability to work well independently and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Ability to build strong and productive working relationships with staff of all levels across the firm
  • Ability to multi-task, define, track/resolve issues and escalate appropriately
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Some traveling required
