The Project Analyst primary responsibility is supporting the operations of the Project Management Office (PMO) via reporting and analytics activities, knowledge and training support and communication, manage project data quality and support the project governance process which help uphold defined IT project standards and procedures.
 
The Project Analyst is responsible for generating regular and ad hoc project demographic/performance metrics, financial reports and related artifacts and provides IT Project Managers and other stakeholders with visibility to and guidance regarding data quality and project tools.
 
The Project Analyst assists IT Project Managers with preparation for governance and other select activities on larger, more complex projects and may deliver small to mid-size IT related projects.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Create, maintain and publish key reports and data
  • Provide performance analysis of project and financial data
  • Provide Project Managers with feedback and guidance pertaining to data quality
  • Assist Project Managers with projects in preparation for governance (confirm minimum governance requirements are met)
  • Document, maintain and publish project training and knowledge artifacts and related communication
  • Document, maintain and publish operating procedures
  • Document, maintain and publish the annual PMO governance and financial reporting calendar
  • Document, maintain and publish the monthly PMO operations calendar
  • Administer PMO SharePoint sites and content
  • Manage small to mid-size IT projects through planning phase activities (charter/scope, requirements, design, cost and schedule estimation)
  • Manage small to mid-size IT projects through delivery phase activities (build/development, testing, delivery, risk/issue management, status communication)
  • Manage small to mid-size IT projects through close out phase activities (transition to operations, archive of key documentation)
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or Healthcare Administration or related field required. (4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree)
  • Three years of formal project management, process improvement and/or change delivery experience
  • Ability to work with data, perform queries and simple analysis and interpret/communicate the results
  • Familiarity with PMBOK or project management methodologies
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio and Project
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines and extra hours if needed on assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with at least one of the following key areas of the healthcare business including Payer, Claims, Clinical Care, and Health Care Economics
  • Ability to interact one-on-one and consult with all levels of executive management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to filter/sort data, produce pivot tables and charts
  • Experience with Microsoft Access
  • Experience with Service Now
