The IT Systems Analyst assigned to the Foundation Data Service is responsible for documenting business, data enhancements or system change requirements for OptumRx's foundational reference files which include product, pharmacy and prescriber data. The analyst will be responsible for translating these requirements into functional specifications, assist the QA team in ensuring successful testing is executed, support the business users in their testing and will also serve as a subject matter expert in regard to reference file data when requested. The analyst will be required to address Service Now ticketing, research reported issues / requests for information, providing product audit documentation and other duties as they pertain to reference file data and documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage small to mid-scale projects by adhering to aggressive timelines and by collaborating and interfacing with departments throughout the company including client services, account management, development, software and quality assurance

  • Effectively multi-task by simultaneously working on several time-sensitive deliverables

  • an expert understanding of business issues and the impact of technology

  • Gather and document system requirements and functional design details

  • Perform and support UAT (Acceptance Testing)

  • Research reported product issues/requests for information (Service Now).

  • Perform post production validation

  • Create documentation on department processes (playbooks), white papers

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of associates, managers and clients

  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

  • Performs post-production release validation when SRs are included

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or High School Diploma / GED with 3+ years of experience in a Technical Role such as Business Analyst
  • 2+ years of Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, and / or technical experience
  • Experience with Project Management and / or working on a Project team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Health Care Industry experience or Health Care related role
  • SQL experience
  • Business report analysis experience
  • IT Development experience
  • Quality Assurance experience
