Description The IT Systems and Support Lead is responsible for supporting and maintaining all IT aspects of the Boulder site business systems following Pfizer standards and CFR11 requirements. Additionally, the IT Lead is responsible for procuring, installing, documenting, and maintaining PC hardware, software and printers. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and communication problems, maintaining PC inventory, and configuring/deploying/refreshing end user computing devices, maintaining database applications, company Ross ERP application and end user support for software applications throughout the Boulder site.



The IT Lead may lead site-specific projects and strategic initiatives and assist with implementation of global standard solutions at the site. The position will work with the PGS BT Site Lead to manage the site PGS BT portfolio in concert with site goals.



The successful candidate will facilitate and provide on-going monitoring and support for all BT systems and services used at the site. **ROLE SUMMARY**

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Partner with site business clients and Operating Units to understand and analyze business process requirements and identify appropriate solutions to meet business needs.

+ Engage with the business to identify and define scope for continuous improvement, innovation, and Best Practice initiatives and assist or lead those initiatives to improve the efficiency of processes and systems at the site.

+ Collaborate with the BT Network to determine solution fit within the current and future systems portfolio to improve business processes.

+ Propose system, process and data/configuration changes to increase operational efficiency

+ Support global BT project deployments (core solutions) and global BT-related continuous improvement initiatives at the site working in partnership with PGS BT Network

+ Support PGS BT in building strong partnerships with key stakeholders that increase the understanding of business needs and work towards maximizing the value of our BT investments at the site.

+ Partner with the PGS BT Network to ensure the systems and services support provided meets the expectation of the business users in accordance with cGMP and Pfizer standards. Monitor metrics, escalating issues and initiating corrective measures as necessary.

+ When appropriate, the position will perform analysis, design, and drive development/implementation of continuous improvement solutions that meet local business requirements. Provide support for local systems that have not transitioned to the BT Network support model.

+ Engage with BT Network personnel to ensure the right policies and programs are in place to maintain system compliance with cGMP regulations and Pfizer policies and standards.

+ Provide BT Support in areas of compliance and validation.

+ Serve as the site BT point of contact and partner with PGS BT to ensure successful deployments.



+ Performs support and maintenance of the Boulder network . Serves as the BT technical lead for the site. Maintains BT infrastructure documentation.

+ Supports data servers, network switches, wireless access points and controllers, WAN, LAN, data security systems, telephone, audio/visual systems, and Active Directory configuration.

+ Develops BT infrastructure master plan and leads the implementation of the plan

+ Manages cGMP equipment changes in accordance with Site SOPs and corporate BT requirements

+ Performs preventive maintenance tasks and completes work orders in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Implements, maintains, and monitors IT infrastructure tools (such as network monitoring). Supports site 24/7 coverage as needed for business critical activities.

+ Accountable for network security. Performs server and network administrator functions including the application of software patches and security updates.

+ Develops and maintains Disaster Recovery Plan, performs scheduled disaster recovery testing

+ Manages PC hardware and software related services and inventor. Troubleshoots and resolves PC hardware, software, terminal, and printer equipment issues as needed to resolve BT tickets.

+ Helps identify the root cause of outages. Implements corrective actions to prevent outages.

+ Reviews and approves various site cGMP documents as the BT reviewer



**QUALIFICATIONS**



+ BS or equivalent is required.

+ A minimum of 5-10 years technical experience in Windows PC environment is preferred.

+ Local Area Network administration experience is required. VoIP experience is preferred.

+ Sound understanding of system hardware functionality and troubleshooting.

+ Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Windows operating system required.

+ Experience building and configuring desktop and laptop PCs in a Windows environment required.

+ Experience in end user support for Microsoft Office applications, including MS Outlook is desired.

+ Experience in supporting complex database applications, including cooperate ERP systems is desired.

+ Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills are required.

+ Ability to effectively prioritize work and provide a high level of customer service is important in this role.



Certifications preferred:

Management of IT infrastructure Certification (i.e., ITIL)

Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)

Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization (CCA-V)

Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)



**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**

Standing, Walking, Sitting, Bending. Ability to lift 25 pounds.



**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



Normal work hours are from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Occasional evening/weekend work may be required to support business critical projects and outages.
