IT must be able to change fast and at scale to address these challenges effectively. Chief Information Officers and their senior IT leaders must transform their IT departments quickly to stay relevant to the lines of business. They need help in defining and communicating the overall transformation journey as well as executing lighthouse initiatives that will deliver transformation value quickly.


The Engagement Manager leads the overall IT Transformation engagement and establishes trust-based relationships on senior executive and operating level. You will coordinate multiple subject matter experts within Cisco and the client, collaborate closely with the account team, and prime the overall engagement for the client. By combining Cisco thought leadership with a thorough understanding of the client’s current state and future ambition, the Engagement Manager is able to develop highly relevant IT Transformation recommendations that will move the client to action.

As the IT Transformation Engagement Manager, you will be responsible to

  • Lead the development of the IT Transformation Envision Infographic, which visualizes the IT Transformation journey for the CIO covering business drivers, operating model, technology radar, and lighthouse initiatives
  • Lead the creation of the intent-based network transformation point of view, which includes the network architecture, operating model, business case, and timeline


The Engagement Manager engages with clients on CIO and Senior IT Executive level and also collaborates with clients on the operating level to deliver the “as-is” and “to-be” analysis. Within Cisco you will work closely with the account team but also develop strong relationships with Sales Directors and Sales VPs. In addition to sales, you will also work primarily with Cisco architects, system engineers, and service delivery.



You are a highly motivated professional with strong business acumen, outstanding executive presence and a challenger mindset. You are a confident self-starter with creative problem-solving skills, You are experienced in consultative selling at a senior executive level within the client (CIO, CTO, VP Infrastructure, etc.).

Our minimum requirements for this role:

  • 10+ years of consultative sales and/or management consulting experience, MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of selling and leading consultative pre-sales engagements on CIO and Senior IT Executive level
  • Strong understanding of key IT Transformation trends
  • Willingness to challenge constructively – internally and externally
