Position Description

We are currently seeking a Java/J2EE Software Developer to work with PLM (Project Lifecycle Management) CoE is a strategic initiative to provide technical and business solutions that applies a consistent and collaborative creation, management, dissemination to the enterprise. This team is responsible for product upgrade of platforms, tools, and technologies used in enterprise as scheduled along with supporting infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Must have solid experience on Java/J2EE along with middle layer applications such as IBM WebSphere/JBOSS/Weblogic
  • Act as single point of contact for application and provides technical and functional leadership to matrix team conducting product upgrade of platforms, tools & technologies
  • Serves as technical leader for assigned areas of subject matter expertise, project development, design, review, migration, troubleshooting and post production issue resolution
  • Provide 24/7 development activity and support and resolve incident and problems during application outages during project warranty period
  • Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis and recommend/execute corrective action plans
  • Conduct code review to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high quality standards
  • Ensuring timely delivery for all assigned tasks as per schedule and adherence to the defined delivery processes/guidelines
  • Develops innovative approaches on application performance optimization and automation

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of total relevant experience on Java/J2EE technologies within Software Development Life Cycle
  • Strong knowledge on Java/J2EE and knowledge of middle layer applications (such as IBM WebSphere/JBOSS/Weblogic

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Health care industry experience
  • Experience with the Agile methodology
  • Experience in application/tool/version migration
  • Knowledge of any of the following: Oracle, MySQL, SQL & PL/SQL, Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting, scheduling tools such as IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler, containerization technologies
