What Your Role at Prudential Would Look Like

This position reports to a QA Manager within the Annuities Technology Quality Assurance department. This position can reside in one of our locations in Shelton, CT, Iselin, NJ, or Moosic, PA.

 

The Quality Assurance Associate will help us drive improvements in our QA support services area using leading edge tools as well as deliver high quality solutions on our monthly QA maintenance deliverables.

 

The Quality Assurance Associate role will provide you with valuable experiences and exposure to:

  • New and innovative solutions on different platforms
  • Various systems development lifecycles (SDLC, Agile)
  • Supporting and maintaining existing applications to deliver new capabilities
  • Business users and other technology roles
  • Big Data, Web technologies and various programming languages

Responsibilities:

 

QA Support

  • Designs and creates Power BI dashboards used to facilitate our metrics and governance
  • Assist with all Test Data Management activities utilizing Informatica TDM
  • Assists with modifications to our ALM environment which houses all our Quality Assurance test cases, test results and test defects
  • Designs test automation scripts utilizing HP’s UFT tool and Python as assigned

 

Monthly Maintenance

  • Performs the role of a QA Tester across assigned applications areas
  • The candidate will, under direct supervision, participate in a full software development monthly maintenance life cycle from requirements through implementation
  • Reviews all requirements and assist in the creation of a test approach
  • Prepares test planning and test execution artifacts
  • Writes test cases, executes the cases, and analyzes the test results
  • Helps analyze multiple paths of testing utilizing a risked based approach
  • Identifies any potential test automation candidates
  • Participates in test case peer reviews and resolves any action items
  • Generates a test execution schedule to meet desired goals and adheres to it
  • Provides UAT support and ensures that our customers are satisfied
  • Assists in compiling all maintenance and support related metrics
  • Part of a QA team that ensures high-quality deliverables for our business

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer related field or relevant experience preferred 1-3 plus years Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering or technical related experience

•The ideal candidate must have excellent People, Speaking, and Writing skills

•Self-starter with ability to handle multiple priorities

•Able to work effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team

•Ability to work within a team or independently

•Takes ownership of tasks and sees them though to conclusion escalating where appropriate

•Demonstrates an analytical mindset with a detail oriented focus

 

Technical Requirements

•Experience with or proven ability to learn various technologies (e.g., UNIX, Client/Server Apps, Web based, ETL) preferred

•Ability to utilize a RDBMS Ex: (SQL, Oracle, Access) preferred

•Understanding of Financial Services a plus

•Experience with Test Automation Technology (e.g., UFT, SOAP UI, Python) a plus

•Experience with Mobile Testing or the Sales Force application a plus

•Experience with Quality Assurance tools a plus (ALM, Power BI, TDM)

•Agile methodology experience a plus

•Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
