**Role Description**

The Key Account Manager is responsible for total key account sales in their assigned key accounts. This is done through identification of sales opportunities, goals, strategies and programs for the key accounts with the objective of creating customer alliance to provide access and better health outcomes. The KA Manager collaborates with other sales teams and sales managers in initiating and implementing the programs. The KA Manager directly interacts with key decision makers of the key accounts and acts as the single point of contact of the company to the customers.


+ Prepare and maintain business plan of the key account

+ Use of the business plan template to identify the key decision makers and decision parameters

of the key account.

+ Utilize all available tools to analyze the situation of the key account in order to identify issues

and opportunities and be able to craft unique customer value propositions.

+ Recommends innovative and strategic programs on how to maximize business and strengthen

partnership with the key account.

+ Initiate and follow up products listing for relevant accounts

+ Manages day-to-day business transactions and act as the primary business point-of -contact for

both key account and company

+ Identifies revenue opportunities at the headquarter level

+ Recommends and executes marketing program in the key accounts

+ Negotiates and secures the sales of Pfizer product by developing strategic partnership with key


+ Negotiate on price and contract deals with customers.

+ Gather information about competitive activities and incorporate these in the marketing / sales

program recommendation.

+ Resolves issues concerning order processing, discounts, products and services.

+ Coordinates with Marketing, Medical, and Logistics to resolve issues and for programs to be


+ Allocates time to visit all assigned key accounts

+ Articulate company objectives, directions and update to all key accounts by conducting CME

and engagement programs

+ Document all planned and unplanned coverage per cycle.

+ Communicate and align key account initiatives and plan of action with other team members toachieve desired objectives

+ Provide feedback on relevant market or customer's information to internal key stakeholders.

+ Map out the key stakeholders in key accounts to develop and follow up on engagement plans.

+ Have thorough understanding on the relevant decision and business operation process on keyaccounts

+ Visit regularly to key accounts


+ Must be a tertiary degree holder

+ Minimum 5 years in Pharma or related industry experience

+ Asst Sales Manager or Sales Manager experience in Pharmaceutical Industry and/or

+ Experience in Key Account Management in Pharma would be an advantage

+ Effective track record of cross-functional working

+ Solid track record of performance

+ Business Acumen
