**Job Focus**



The Key Account Manager Pfizer Essential Health (KAM) is responsible for the Pfizer Essential Health relationship with accounts as well as for designing and implementing strategic account plans for the assigned accounts, in order to maximize portfolio value, in co-operation with the marketing, market access managers, contract manager, and medical. The KAM customer focus would be on all relevant DMU members in designated accounts, varying mainly from prescribers (specialists), nurses and hospital pharmacists.







The 3 main commercial goals, in order of importance, are:







Develop and implement strategic account plans based on customer and account insights Achieve territory sales targets by supporting contract implementation in accounts Negotiate contracts for the products and/or portfolio with the accounts







**Responsibilities**







+ Identify and develop ongoing productive, long-term relationships with payers, key specialists, nurses and other relevant healthcare professionals.



+ Demonstrate expertise in relationship skills which promote and enable development of new relationships within one's accounts.



+ Implement and manage the key account plan to drive the resources needed to develop mutually beneficial opportunities within one's accounts.



+ Negotiate contracts for the products and/or portfolio with the accounts, follow up on the contracts



+ Maintains relevant knowledge of disease areas, related to focus products within portfolio. Active monitoring of developments in the healthcare environment and specifically with regard to relevant products and accounts



+ Apply mastery of business acumen, including understanding of key account business, industry, economic trends, issues and competition. Is prepared to educate colleagues across Pfizer on insights gained.



+ Monitor and assess competitive environment and market dynamics to anticipate sales opportunities and prepare for potential objections as they relate to clinical, economic, or other product-related challenges.



+ Collaborate with the marketing and medical team to identify and develop business opportunities.



+ Coordinates and leads with cross functional (XFT) teams to deploy Pfizer offers and/or value propositions with customers.



+ Ensure active feedback to own team and XFT members for relevant data/activities of our competitors, specific market developments and issues relating to assigned products/areas







**Key Qualifications**







+ Higher education/academic degree in science, life science or business



+ At least 5 years of relevant (portfolio contracting) experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech of medical devices industry, preferably as Key Account Manager



+ Excellent business communication and consulting skills including: Problem solving, Negotiation, Influencing without authority, Facilitation, Listening, and Project Management.



+ Strong business acumen skills with ability to build strong network of senior executive contacts within the accounts



+ Customer obsessed and team-oriented in order to work collaboratively and effectively in a matrix organization.



+ Takes personal responsibility for own work, pushing self and others to exceed goals and deliver results.



+ Fluency in Dutch language is a minimum requirement.



+ The role is based in the Netherlands
