What You'll Do

The Partner Enablement SBDM (Senior Business Development Manager) has as primary target to design/maintain a Partner centric enablement/readiness framework strategy, for all of LatAm’s (Latin America) Partner ecosystem: Top Partners, Focus Partners, DVARs, Distributors, Resellers and ISVs, based on Cisco’s near term and long term priorities.

You will be responsible for the fluid execution of the enablement framework, guiding and interacting with the different groups including – Architecture, Engineering, Marketing, Operations and Services – from Global/Corporate, APO, Region and Countries.

Other responsibilities:

  • This role requires definition of enablement requirements, analyzing Partner needs and Cisco priorities as well as possible content gaps. Content gaps require work with internal and external content creators
  • Build/Maintain/Execute a Partner Centric enablement framework that is inclusive of all Partners (Top Partners, Focus Partners, DVARs, Distributors, Resellers and ISVs). This also includes developing Sales Training, Technical Training, Tools and Programs trainings.
  • Able to define, together with Architecture SBDMs and Partner Systems Engineers, enablement strategies to launch or accelerate olutions/verticals.
  • Support and guide Partner AMs, SEs and RMs on training strategy, as well as driving training attendance, ensuring the match from the right audience to the right initiative.
  • Work with internal and external content creators in order to find and fix content gaps.
  • Responsible for reporting on Partner Enablement results with multiple views including: holistic, by operation, by RTM, by type of training, by initiative, etc. as well as a Partner view. Regularly present enablement results to executive audiences.
  • Support the enablement of new partners to build the partner capacity & capabilities required to sustain the business growth in the region

Who You'll Work With

Within Cisco, you will work closely with the Partner Organization extended team as well as with Architectures, Engineering, Marketing, Services from Global/Corporate, APO and LatAm Regions. In addition, this role must interact with the Partner Community, helping them to develop their Enablement strategy.


Who You Are

You have experience in Channel Programs and partner practice development with a proven track record. You are also someone that has management skills and can build and manage solid relationships with key decisions makers from our strategic partners. This includes conflict resolution and negotiation. You are a person that thrives at establishing clear objectives and directives. You also consider yourself a leader and excel at mentoring.

Additional Skills:

  • Technical / Systems Engineering background highly desirable.
  • Strong influencing skills to engage internal resources, including SBDMs, Architecture SBDMs, Engineering, Marketing, Services and external resources, including Partners, Distributors and Learning Partners.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to all management levels. Ability to listen carefully and extract key issues.
  • Solid project management skills/experience
  • Clear record of achievement, a willingness to work hard and perseverance to make things happen.
  • Risk taker and not limited to past or current thinking and willing to try new methods.
  • Bachelor's degree is required. Technical background (engineering, computer science, physical science) degree highly desirable. Master’s degree preferred (MBA is a plus)
  • Full proficiency in English and Spanish. Portuguese is plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 20-30% of the time.
