Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE

The purpose of the Distributor Technical Representative is to perform installations and preventative maintenance on equipment.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

25%- All installation must be done in line with P&G s required specifications. Any variances from P&G specifications should be reviewed with P&G supporting resources prior to making changes. This includes providing the end user with the basic support program (e.g. wall-charts, product information sheets, MSDS sheets, etc.)
25%- Install dosing equipment on Standard machines should include the ability to independently program (during initial installation) or reprogram (as a result of a service call) of modern machines equipped with their own microprocessor (programmable machines).
25%- In case of card operated machines (older models), using the necessary knowledge and cutting equipment needed to cut or re-cut program cards according to the end-users requirements. Install a dosage system using a flush manifold (water-flushed) system upon the end-users request.
25%- Install and service the housekeeping dispensers for the Proctor&Gamble In-Room cleaners

NATURE AND SCOPE

Reports to Service Manager. Has no direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
0 years

Physical Requirements:

Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Proper knowledge of equipment that will be serviced, installed or repaired
Purchase of parts and equipment for repairs and proper inventory procedures
Work directly with Manager on service route schedule for customers
Use proper methods for loading vehicles with chemicals, includes all applicable DOT, OSHA and WISHA requirements
The ability to independently program (during initial installation) or reprogram (as a result of a service call) of modern machines equipped with their own microprocessor (programmable machines)
Install a dosage system using a flush manifold (water-flushed) system upon the end-users request
Provide training the laundry and housekeeping staff on the proper operation of the laundry and
housekeeping equipment, and the proper use of the laundry and housekeeping supplies
Professional customer service and follow all company policies and procedures
Monitor and maintain records of competitive products, systems, services and activities, report in detail to Sales Management
A good understanding of the chemistry involved in the washing process in general and
the interaction of the different chemical and physical parameters that influence the end result
Use proper methods for loading vehicles with chemicals, includes all applicable DOT, OSHA
requirements
Must have valid, active driver s license with clean motor vehicle record and meet insurer approval
Excellent customer service skills
Must have a mechanical background
Must be able to travel out of town overnight
Must criminal check and drug screen
