Canyon Ridge Hospital a 106-bed behavioral health facility located on the western edge of San Bernardino County.  Canyon Ridge Hospital is a full-service psychiatric hospital that operates within a 15-mile radius of Riverside, Los Angeles and Orange Counties.  Canyon Ridge Hospital has been a public resource for behavioral health and substance abuse treatment in the greater Inland Empire since 1989.  Our acute care facility offers a safe and comfortable environment for both adults and adolescents.  By offering a full spectrum of services (such as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient), Canyon Ridge Hospital is able to provide a full continuum of care for its clients.


Position Summary:

The Lead Case Manager is responsible for providing quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to psychiatric patients and their families, spouse, significant other; to serve as a member of interdisciplinary team supporting the organization’s treatment program and philosophy and assure the deliverance of quality treatment to psychiatric patients and their families.  Will work closely with Doctors and will hold family meetings.  This position will supervise interns.


Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

Must possess a Master’s Degree in social work or equivalent Master’s Degree in a recognized mental health field, two (2) years post graduate experience, supervising interns preferred, experience in inpatient setting preferred; written and oral communication skills, knowledge of utilization management and skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention common to acute psychotic as well as to non-violent crises intervention practice. Knowledge of acute adult psychological disorders; advanced principals of abnormal psychology as specifically applied to adults, geriatrics, adolescents, and children; familiarity with follow-up resource services; skills in conducting marital and family group therapy.  Must work well in a high volume, demanding environment. Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential; in the absence of these qualifications upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time frame. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.
