Positions in this function assist in monitoring drug inventory within pharmacy mail order computer system. Processes drug purchases, verifies shipments against invoices, follows up on discrepancies. Maintains proper storage of drug inventory. Monitors and adjusts / calibrates pharmacy equipment, fills dispensing units. Processes, packs and ships outgoing pharmacy orders. Pharmacy Technician positions will require state registration / licensure as applicable.

Must possess an understanding all team members' roles including: Inbound returns (Call Tag Returns, Carrier Returns, Cigna Returns, Loose in the mail returns) and Outbound returns ( donations, manufacturer returns, recalls and destroys, etc.)

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Handle logistical duties, as assigned
  • Resolve daily issues and troubleshoot
  • Fill in or make sure areas are covered as needed for PTO
  • Train new employees
  • Take employee attendance
  • Ensure employees adhere to company policies
  • Report issues as they arise
  • Flexible to work variable hours/shifts as business needs arise
  • Volunteer for overtime, as needed
  • Respond to email and phone calls from internal customers
  • Participate in projects, as needed
  • Verify emails are responded to in a timely manner and if not, follow up
  • Confirm that all employees are completing their job functions as appropriate
  • Submit quarterly perfect attendance bravo awards
  • Able to fill-in for Supervisor in their absence
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED or higher 
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications including Word (create and edit documents), Excel (filter / sort, create a spreadsheet, and track data) and PowerPoint (review and create a presentation).
  • 6+ months of experience as a Team Lead, Subject Matter Expert, and / or Supervisor coaching and developing team of 5 or more employees
  • Ability to work on Sunday from 1 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday from 2 p.m.- 10:30 p.m., CST including flexibility to work over time and / or Fridays, as business needs arise
  • Kansas Pharmacy Technician Licensing and Registration as required by State (or ability to obtain licensure within 90 days of employment)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician license
  • Experience with Oracle applications and / or IRIS
  • Pharmacy experience

Soft Skills:

  • Analytical problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting and moving material up to 50 pounds
  • Bending, lifting and reaching both below the waist and above the head
