Mayhill Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Assessment House Supervisor. Mayhill Hospital located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is a 59-bed private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. We are one of the few facilities in the area that can provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. The Lead House Supervisor is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff. The Lead House Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information. The Lead House Supervisor provides completion of Memorandum of Transfers (MOT) under the direction of the Director of Assessment/Referrals and provides support to the patient during the admission process between intake and nursing staff. The Lead House Supervisor is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives.  The Lead House Supervisor is responsible for providing support to all staff in a supervisor capacity.

Job Requirements

Education:  Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Experience. Preferably three or more years’ experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting preferred. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact preferred.

Licensure: State of Texas Registered Nurse

Additional Requirements: A working knowledge of the DSM-IV and the Mental Status Exam. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field preferred. Current CPR and ACLS certification preferred. Successful completion of Handle with Care Training within 10 days of start date, offered at facility. Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state, federal, regulatory requirements preferred. Must be available to work rotational weekends.
