Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the facility and all building systems. Primary Mechanic for HVAC (AC. Heat and Boiler work). This includes, but is not limited to, estimating costs of materials, labor, and use of equipment required to fulfill project, communicating with department heads on progress, ensures the project timetable is maintained and supervises co-workers and contractors assigned to project.

Job Requirements
  • Education/Qualification
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • 6 years experience in related field
    • 4 years experience in hospital environment
    • If performing HVAC duties must have current CFC certification
  • Skills
    • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and with little supervision
    • Computer/keyboard skills required
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Considerable knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in facility and equipment repair and maintenance
    • Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and overtime
    • Considerable knowledge of diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs
    • Considerable knowledge of safety practices and procedures
    • Skilled in the use of power and hand tools
    • Skilled in the use of diagnostic equipment
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
