Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The AACG Lead Manager is responsible for promoting fair and consistent employment practices as well as assisting with the escalation of critical cases and conducting routine case audits to ensure the fair and consistent application of Company policies and practices, programs and initiatives. This Lead Manager is also responsible for providing coaching and guidance to AACG Managers. This role requires highly-developed interpersonal and consultative skills for dealing with sensitive and controversial situations as well as the ability to effectively influence leadership. The AACG Lead Manager will report to the AACG Senior Manager position.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Provides direction and guidance to store leaders and AACG Managers on employment issues/trends and associate relations needs to ensure they are creating and maintaining a positive associate relations environment
• Provides guidance on the interpretation and consistent application of Company policies, programs and initiatives
• Provides direction and guidance to AACG Managers requiring partnership or support
• Assists AACG Managers with the handling of critical or sensitive cases to ensure effective resolution
• Provide assistance researching and following up on issues forwarded from the liaisons who act as the communication support between the respective regions and AACG.
• Partners with Medical Health Management, Legal, and HRSC with respect to investigations and other associate relations matters
• Assists AACG Sr. Managers with conducting routine case audits to ensure the fair and consistent application of Company policies and practices, programs, and initiatives.
• Assists AACG Sr. Managers with research pertaining to aged tickets and the proper follow-up
• Provides support in managing, resolving and partnering with the Workplace Violence team on workplace violence matters
• Recommends and conducts training for AACG Managers on training initiatives related to Company process and procedures, associate relations, and other pertinent categories.
• Provides assistance to AACG Senior Managers with reviewing AACG Manager performance trends to ensure fairness and consistency
• Assists as backup support on phones/awarelines if additional support is needed
• Provides assistance pertaining to projects or AACG initiatives
NATURE AND SCOPE
Reports to Associate Advice & Counsel Group Senior Manager
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 6 years
Physical Requirements:
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).

Additional Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
• Employee relations, industrial relations or human resources degree or equivalent experience
• Multi-site (50+ locations) and experience with 10,000 associates
• 8 years experience in employment law, employee relations or human resources is preferred
• PHR or SPHR or equivalent certification
