Description As a Lead Manager of Video Content Curation you will develop, implement and execute on video curation strategy across all of the AT&T video platforms.

This exciting role will support our new DIRECTV NOW OTT (Over-the-Top) product as well as other video platforms including DIRECTV satellite, U-Verse TV, and mobile offerings.

You will help form strategies and implement plans to optimize our customer experience through curation of valuable video content.

This role includes existing, new and emerging products, technologies or applications.

**Overall Purpose: Develops and implements curation, marketing and user experience strategy for highly complex products/services. The scope of responsibility Includes new and emerging products, technologies or applications.**

**Key Roles and Responsibilities:**

+ Define and execute on AT&T's video content curation strategy.

+ Continually refine AT&T's approach to video content curation, including refinement to approaches and algorithms that drive better customer engagement with the video platform.

+ Conceive of, and execute on, sponsored content curation strategies and partnerships with video content producers.

+ **40%) Drive engagement in video platforms through relevant and timely content curation**

+ Work in conjunction with the Marketing, Analytics, and Programming teams to keep abreast of video content trends, including researching and unearthing unique compelling content that should be surfaced to AT&T video viewers

+ Identify and create custom curation categories to match rising trends, aggregating content across programmers to provide an uninterrupted stream of related content (e.g., zombie classics, best westerns, summer surf picks, monthly staff picks, etc.)

+ Drive overall platform usage and engagement

+ Develop editorial voice across platform

+ **(40%) Work cross-functionally to create software-defined TV capabilities that result in an exceptional/engaging video experience**

+ Partner with Analytics, Customer Experience, and Product Engineering to develop and deliver on a roadmap to a “software-defined TV” experience. Output should include:

+ Personalization Strategy (customizable, app “learns” your behavior, dynamic user profiles, etc.)

+ Recommendation Engine (leverage analytics to help customers engage with the right content)

+ **(20%) Engage with revenue generating teams and content providers to execute on custom curation strategies that tie to business goals**

+ Define the platform approach to Sponsored or Paid Curation, balancing algorithm driven personalization with promoted content to ensure high quality customer experience

+ Continually engage with a broad group of stakeholders to define daily/weekly/monthly curation plans that keep sponsored content fresh while still meeting revenue and engagement goals

+ Execute the strategy working with Analytics, Customer Experience, and Product Engineering to deliver on these custom curation strategies

**Desired Qualifications:**

+ Five to Seven years product management or digital distribution experience

+ BS required, MBA or advanced degree preferred

+ Experience with one of the following:

+ digital video platforms

+ recommendation engines

+ digital customer engagement tactics

+ digital content distribution

+ Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to balance customer experience and economic considerations

+ Strong quantitative skills including business case development, light Excel modeling

+ Strong presentation skills with ability to develop and present strategic frameworks/roadmaps

+ Comfort/familiarity of leveraging applied analytics for marketing purposes

+ History of working closely with engineering/IT teams to deliver product enhancements
