**Overall Purpose** : Performs advanced analyses, data mining, data exploration, and predictive/prescriptive modeling in support of marketing, sales, finance, and operations needs within the business unit. Leads cross-functional efforts to drive data-driven decisions across the organization using cutting edge analytics tools and practices. Trains others in the use of analytics tools and techniques fostering a data-first culture.



**Key Roles and Responsibilities** : Combining strong mathematical and technical skillsets, the position manages a wide range of investigative studies, analyses, modeling efforts, measurement of effectiveness of current marketing/sales programs, feasibility of new products, and other relevant use cases. Presents findings to stakeholders and assists in development of work plans to address results. Leads in the design, execution, implementation, and ongoing distribution of critical marketing insights and analyses. Extracts and analyzes external and internal data from specific applications, systems and/or databases. Consults on the architecture, design, and data requirements for new or existing critical datasets within the business. Combines compelling visualizations of data and analyses with strong communication skills to gain leadership and peer approval for recommendations. Supervisory: No.



**Education:** Preferred Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, or Sciences; Data Analytics nanodegree; or equivalent experience.



**Experience** : Typically requires 5-7 years of experience in a related role.



**Qualifications:** Expert in the techniques and tools of predictive/prescriptive modeling and analysis, data mining, data exploration, and data visualization. Candidate should possess high quantitative aptitude with the ability to use necessary software and coding skills to access data and information from a variety of different sources, both internal and external. Demonstrated proficiency in extracting value and intelligence from data and communicating insights to audiences ranging from peer working teams to senior leadership. Experience with modeling/analysis tools such as R, Python, SAS, or equivalent is preferred. Expert or intermediate skill with SQL is preferred. Experience with data mining and visualization tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, or PowerBI is preferred.

**Desired Qualifications:**
