Job Description

Southern Crescent Behavioral Health System is comprised of three (3) facilities: Anchor Hospital, Crescent Pines Hospital Campus, and the Riverdale Outpatient Campus. Providing a myriad of behavioral health services across the continuum from inpatient through outpatient treatment, we treat adolescent through geriatric patients. We are currently seeking energetic and dynamic applicants for the position of Payroll Coordinator/Purchasing Agent for Anchor Hospital.

Position Summary: Processes Accounts Payable and Payroll on a biweekly basis.  Run all reports for A/P and payroll for scheduled processing and month end close.  Maintains all files and databases related to A/P and payroll.  Other accounting duties as assigned.

We are committed to excellence in diagnosis, treatment and education. Patients who come to Anchor Hospital are in crisis, and the road to recovery for behavioral, mental health, and substance abuse patients is a difficult one. The staff at Anchor Hospital serves as compassionate guides who provide for our patients’ clinical needs.

Job Requirements


Education: High school graduate or equivalency required. College degree in accounting preferred and/or equivalent combination education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of payroll and A/P experience preferred.

Skills: Have the ability to deal with diverse and stress related situations in a calm manner.  Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.  Effective oral and written communication and guest relation skills required.  Must have good organizational and computer technical skills and have the ability to set priorities.

Physical Requirements: Visual acuity, accurate hearing, extensive sitting and ability to lift twenty (20) pounds.
