POSITION SUMMARY:

Develops, publishes, and implements test plans. Writes and maintains test automation code. Develops quality assurance standards. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience coding in scripting and object oriented programming languages. Must have a working knowledge of automated quality assurance methodologies. Familiar with NT, UNIX and/or Linux environments. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.

Define and establish test automation strategy and processes for new development and legacy applications Support Test Automation Solution Planning and Estimation.

Analyze current architecture and test platforms to formulate a vision for growth and expansion.

Perform detailed test designs using sound software test engineering principals in the context of test automation platforms and integration across distributed systems Collaborate with Scrum Masters, BAs and developers Perform tasks required for automated test implementation including review acceptance criteria, create integration/regression test scenarios, implement test data management strategy, and generate required metrics and reports.

Improve existing test automation frameworks Develop test automation software to test applications Automate the decommission of automated tests and determining when not to automate Define and establish test metrics to measure not just product quality, but quality of testing and feedback to engineers Implement all actions required to deploy an automated test solution Implement End-to-End Test Automation.





QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Test Automation including planning, assessments, script development & maintenance. Experience in one or more of the following testing toolsets/frameworks:

    Selenium

    Should have the ability to code independently

    Experience in data manipulation languages to setup test data and verify results

    Experience working in Agile-Scrum

    Experience in testing UI/UX best practices

    Knowledge of:

    Cucumber

    SOAP UI

    SOA & RESTful web service implementations

    Tools such as Rally/Confluence

    Strong written and communication skills required

    Must be a self-starter/self-directed member of the team



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Java
  • Javascript
  • JSON
  • Demonstrated experience with Continuous Integration, including one or more of the following build/deploy/version control tools:

Jenkins


Maven


Docker


Git/Stash/Bitbucket


Linux and Bash scripting


JavaScript frameworks in HTML5/CSS3 context (React, AngularJS, jQuery)


RESTful APIs/JSON


Experience working with databases (MongoDB)
