The Learning Design and Delivery, Senior Manager will design and execute learning solutions for Cox Automotive University clients, with a focus on leadership, management and culture.  The learning content, programs and experiences will be designed for scaling, based on an assessment of client readiness and alignment with Cox Automotive, Inc. (CAI) objectives.  

Identify, build, pilot and operate a variety of programs, experiences, solutions and curriculum for the SHIFT Portfolio.  Includes collaborating with our clients and team members to:

  • Identify most impactful opportunities for CAI and our clients
  • Develop outcomes, strategies, content, experience, processes and tools
  • Determine pricing/value contribution
  • Develop certification path, where applicable
  • Scale solutions, where applicable

Reports to the Director, Client Services in support of multiple client segments (including dealerships, dealer groups and OEMs), and must demonstrate strong client service orientation.  This role will have significant interaction with a variety of clients at all levels, and the content and approach must be highly relevant to the target audience with clear demonstration of value.  The person in this role must be able to work collectively with team members, clients and partners, to develop and implement differentiated and future-oriented solutions based on industry insights and trends using evolving learning technologies. 

The programs will be offered either for sale or as loyalty initiatives, based on client strategies and evolution of the Cox Automotive Rewards Program.  This team member will play a key role in positioning these programs in alignment with clients’ goals and demonstrating their value as part of the CAI value proposition.

Position responsibilies:

  • Develop assessments, outcomes, certification criteria and approach, processes and tools, and pricing/valuation models for SHIFT: Managing for Growth, Accelerator, and Mentor Marketplace programs.
  • Curate or design content for SHIFT: Managing for Growth, Accelerator, and Mentor Marketplace programs.
  • Manage budget, including revenue stream, for SHIFT: Managing for Growth, Accelerator and Mentor Marketplace, and partner with Client Account Management and CAU Leadership to offer programs for sale or as loyalty initiatives using CA Rewards Program.
  • Work with Director, Client Services to design, pilot and execute SHIFT: Leading the Business and OnRamp programs, including outcomes, certification criteria and approach, processes and tools, pricing/valuation models, and content.  Includes developing “train the trainer” program for certification candidates for SHIFT: Leading the Business.
  • Provide consulting support to clients for SHIFT: Accelerator and SHIFT: Managing for Growth programs, including cohort facilitation)
    • Oversee the Program Coordinator’s performance of all aspects of logistics, including site selection, transportation, food and beverage, audio/visual and other meeting needs, décor, gifts, online and onsite registration as warranted by event type and size, to create appropriate client and team member experiences.
    • Create and manage budgets for meetings and events.  Work with Client Services finance to ensure that budgets support Client Services financial goals.

  • Track record of identifying and building effective partnerships and leading high-performing teams through design and execution of complex initiatives in start-up environment.
  • Deep experience in Leadership Experience design, development and facilitation, with demonstrable individual and organizational impact
  • Outstanding communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to interact with and support executive-level communications and interactions.
  • Strong understanding and application of capability development resulting in leadership and organizational change
  • Ability to quickly learn Cox Automotive’s business, and a working knowledge of the automotive industry (including industry trends and retail business, employee and culture challenges)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including strategic and systemic thinking, creativity, business acumen, budget leadership, and building and leading high-performing teams and networks.
  • Outstanding consulting, coaching, facilitation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity, handling sensitive and confidential information with tact, discretion and judgment
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University
  • 15 years’ developing and leading strategies and programs to support the growth of both internal and external clients and organizations
  • Automotive industry experience a plus
