Description The Training and Outreach Librarian is the subject matter expert (SMEs) for the eLibary collection. This is a highly self-driven role and will require continuous learning. The role will design and execute upon a training curriculum that empowers Pfizer colleagues to effectively use and leverage eLibrary resources in their day-to-day work. The role will lead an effort with current suppliers and internal SMEs to design and execute upon targeted high quality training opportunities that empower colleagues with knowledge. The role will ensure that all help guides and product updates are current and easily accessible to colleagues. The role will place considerable focus on service and outreach to ensure licensed eLibrary resources provide maximal value to Pfizer.



**Role Responsibilities**



+ Knowledge and understanding of text mining, machine learning and artificial intelligence and how this could be better leveraged at Pfizer.

+ Partner with external suppliers and colleagues in Information & Library Sciences to provide diverse training programs to the global Pfizer organization.

+ Actively work and collaborate with the broader information scientist community at Pfizer to enhance customer support and assure effective use of tools and resources.

+ Support existing tools and processes to manage published content. Recommend information management technology solutions on behalf of customers to improve information flow or information access to end-users. Use knowledge of core information management systems to guide customers to appropriate technologies.

+ Outreach and Training on self-service resources.

+ Responsible for leading efforts to ensure FAQs and technical how-to resources are up-to-date and easily surfaced in eLibrary.

+ Conduct business-related searches and provide back-up search support to Information Sciences team. **Qualifications**



+ Advanced Library Science or Information Management degree is required.

+ Deep understanding of tools and resources available in eLibrary.

+ Expertise in searching and teaching library databases and electronic tools.

+ Demonstrated experience in search and retrieval of scientific and medical information



**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**

Office environment, including flex space, computer desk work, standing for oral presentations.



**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



+ Some work outside of normal business hours will be required.Occasional travel to other Pfizer sites.
