An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the Facility as assigned and/or as necessary.

Essential Functions-An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Sells Optical products and services by assisting Members with purchasing decisions, measuring, adjusting, and repairing frames and lenses, completing eyewear/contact lens orders, identifying and verifying prescription information, completing and maintaining paperwork, forms, and other required documentation, collecting payments for doctor services, and performing and recording results of optometric pre-tests. Provides Member service by acknowledging the Member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the Companys products and services. Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise. Maintains the Sales Floor in the Optical area in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages. Operates hardware such as cash registers or related equipment, processes Member purchases, and assists in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges using appropriate procedures for different Membership and payment types. Receives and stocks merchandise in the Optical area, and organizes and maintains the Optical area by following Company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.

Competencies- An individual must be proficient in each of the competencies listed below to successfully perform the responsibilities of thisposition.Grow the Business Through Trusted Eye Care Educates others on and creates awareness of the importance of EyeHealth Care (for example, Patient intercepts and conversions, conducts health fairs). Stays current on products and their features, advantages, and benefits, and promotes best value and best technology. Follows safety requirements and related laws and regulations (for example, HIPAA, OSHA) when assisting with or providing Optical products and services. Explains insurance options to Patients (for example, available plans, how they work, appropriate processing). Looks for and recommends ways to improve the Optical Center (for example, Patient experience, awareness of competitor pricing and services).Inventory Handles, moves, and displays goods in safe and correct ways. Tracks goods, maintains in-stock levels, and controls shrinkage in a timely manner. Reports poor inventory practices and low in-stock levels in assigned area. Uses inventory tools and equipment in safe and correct ways.

Point-of-Sale Follows proper procedures to prevent shrink and follows applicable laws and regulations when selling items to Members. Assists Members with payment methods, return policies, and location of items when asked. Uses the cash register and completes Member sales in a timely manner. Reports complaints, shrink issues, and problems with products,services, and work areas.

Provide Best Patient Experience Maintains the cleanliness and visual appeal of the Optical Center (for example, follows Division-approved dress code, upholds a professional atmosphere). Determines Patient needs and uses this information to make product and style recommendations. Ensures the right fit, form, and function of Optical products (for example, proper fitting heights, pantoscopic tilt, product care) throughout the Patient experience.
