Rockford Center is Delaware’s first private psychiatric facility and remains a leader in providing behavioral health care services and continues its commitment to providing quality health care.  Rockford Center, a 128-bed acute psychiatric hospital continues to provide a full continuum of behavioral health services to geriatrics, adults, adolescents, and children.

Rockford Center currently has an opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse in our Nursing Department.  The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

·          Performs treatments and therapies as ordered by physician in an appropriate and timely fashion.
·         Documents patient care, findings, and psychosocial responses to nursing interventions.
·         Documents PRN medications given, reason and effect
·         Initiates emergency measures according to age appropriate CPR and client resuscitation protocols.
·         Participates in emergency crisis interventions according to age appropriate techniques.
·          Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
·          Administer patient medications as prescribed by physician
·         Provide education to patients on their prescribed medications, documenting this in the patient record.
·         Complete nursing admission assessments and shift assessments. Following up on vital signs and accu-check results prior to dispensing medication.
·         Transcription of medication orders in a timely, error free manner, and ensuring reason for PRN medication is documented
      Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
      Current and unrestricted license as an LPN in the state of Delaware.
      At least one year experience as a LPN in a clinical setting is preferred.
