Description The employee shall provide Lifecycle Support and maintain ongoing awareness of all issues related to sustaining Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) capabilities, throughout their lifecycle(s). The employee shall develop and document processes and procedures in support of Configuration Management (CM) and Release Management (RM) activities, and ensure that the ESS solution is in compliance with DoD guidance, policies and requirements prior to distribution.



The employee shall perform the following tasks:



+ Develop and maintain all applicable lifecycle documents including: Lifecycle Sustainment Plan, T&E Master Plan, CM Plan, Release Management Plan, and Disposal Plan

+ Develop, maintain and document deployable server images as appropriate

+ Advise, maintain and support the government’s CM process

+ Track security, functional and system configurable items

+ Report status of configurable items readiness for deployment to the field

+ Provide reports on the security baselines for Assessment & Authorization (A&A) taskings

+ Perform Release Management (RM) activities to ensure ESS image capabilities are validated and in compliance with guidance, policies and requirements prior to use and distribution

+ Examine functional and technical integration issues to provide effective solutions that include maintenance and sustainment planning for either native or third party patching of the delivered capability

+ Maintain ongoing awareness of all issues related to maintaining and updating ESS.

+ Provide Change Control services for ESS by executing normalized processes and documented procedures

+ Identify the Security baseline on a recurring basis with software releases.

+ Establish and review processes, data, information and sustainment of ESS activity in relation to the Security Baselines

+ Continually evaluate, refine and implement the incremental improvements needed to achieve simplified and streamlined operation of RM activity

+ Advise, maintain and support the government’s RM process

+ Manage, plan, schedule, configure, test and control ESS image builds

+ Provide artifacts (e.g. binaries and documentation) applicable to new releases of ESS

+ Advise on customer on revised approaches to optimize RM processes

+ Inform customer of deficiencies related to product compatibility for interoperability

+ Recommend to the customer based on product compatibility assessments and lessons learned

+ Support the customer address of any proposed changes submitted to the Configuration Control Board (CCB)

+ Identify, plan, and implement secure configuration of the evaluation environment

+ Control secure configuration settings and access for environment users

+ Monitor the configuration of information systems to ensure that configuration are not inadvertently altered from the approved baseline

+ Use standardized Security Content Automation Protocols (SCAP) for supporting automated tools in verifying information system configurations

+ Inspect each vendor delivered benchmark for correctness and completion

+ Notify customer of any and all recognized discrepancies within the product delivered or processes



+ 10 years experience working with endpoint security products such as Intel ePO, HBSS, or MS SHB

+ 5 years experience performing configuration management (CM)

+ 5 years experience performing lifecycle enterprise management

+ 5 years experience performing Image/Version Release Management (RM)

+ 5 years experience working change control processes

+ DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification



Desired Experience, Education, and Certifications:



+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline

+ DoD 8570 IAM Level II certification

+ Certified Ethical Hacker certification



Required Clearance: Active SECRET and Ability to obtain Top Secret
