The LMS Analyst is responsible for assisting in the management and maintenance of the learning management system (LMS).  The LMS Analyst is involved in certain aspects of application administration including but not limited to: ensuring database security, troubleshooting system issues, uploading course content, creating and maintaining assignments, generating reports upon request, and maintaining the integrity of data uploaded into the LMS from other sources.  The LMS Analyst serves as the primary point for initial customer/employee issue resolution.

  • Provide timely and thorough response and resolution to all system issues reported by end users
  • Monitor system processes and resolve any integration or technical platform issues
  • Ensure the integrity of the data in the LMS by monitoring results of daily demographic import data. Take remedial action to have errors corrected.
  • Perform system audits to ensure LMS best practices are followed
  • Generate and distribute reports as requested
  • Support essential LMS processes such as building courses and making assignments
  • Upload educational content into the LMS and conduct QA testing to ensure functionality
  • Create, maintain and update central administrative lists, including list of LMS roles/permissions (Institution Administrator, Instructor, Authoring Administrator, etc.)
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to recommend best practices to achieve desired results
Job Requirements

Associates degree, Technical School, or 2 years of college with minimum of 3 years of experience required.  Bachelor's degree with 5 + years experience strongly preferred.

Critical Skills:

  • Experience with LMSs or data management systems, preferably HealthStream
  • Ability to extract, analyze, and summarize data sets
  • Applies critical thinking skills to proactively investigate and troubleshoot issues
  • Proficient in current technology including Microsoft Office Suite; specifically possesses advanced Excel skills
  • Possesses excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work with an incident management system to provide timely resolution to end-users
  • Ability to effectively and collaboratively interact with all levels of employees
  • Strong organizational and project management skills required to meet quality standards and deadlines

Preferred Background:

  • HealthStream LMS experience a plus
  • Lawson or other HRIS experience a plus
  • Experience delivering training programs in classroom and virtual settings
  • Experience with eLearning authoring software a plus (Articulate Storyline,  Adobe Captivate)
  • Experience with project management tools such as Trello, JIRA
